The MI rail section they used has its screws in the center instead of the ends, which increases the amount of slop (point of aim shift) as well as not spreading out stress on the handguard (cracked cross bars).

This is likely the reason that MLOK licenses require following a standardized design, as it saves Magpul bad PR when a manufacturer tries to be clever and winds up making something sub par.

The test itself is irrelevant because SOCOM wanted MLOK and needed data to fill out paperwork.
