Picture related is an old family member. Picture was taken between 1930 and 1940. Does this uniform and baret represent any military uniform or is it a student dress? It was packed with other military related pictures such as the plane seen in the next picture.

What makes you say he was a US army member? The plane might have just been set where he was stationed. He clearly made American friends, but he likely lived in Belgium or France, from what I gather.
