Ream me good you tacticool, mall ninja, /k/ommando know-it-alls:
If i attach one of these PDW kits to my (intentionally pistol) AR lower (with my upper that has a barrel less than 16" and obviously less than 26" overall) IS IT STILL A PISTOL????????????????????
Also, "nanana boo boo" to the NFA thread. The more you know!

Is that a stock or a wrist stabilizer?
Because if it's a wrist stabilizer, your fine and it's still a pistol.
If it's a stock, prepare your anus.
its not a pistol
the addition of a stock makes in an unregistered sbr
now it it was only the buffer tube it would be a pistol

>Is it illegal to put a stock on a pistol with a barrel less than 16"?
This is bait right?
she'll get you, my pretty, and your lil doggo too!!!!

RIP doggo

No, i keep hearing very obscure, cloudy wording on these specific types of PDW stocks. Because they have pistol-ized buffer tubes that they be pistols. Even on some of the manufacturer's websites, its hard to keep track of whether it'd be a pistol or SBR because they keep interchanging the damn terms
>>33903354
The addition of a stock makes it an SBR. You can legally attach a stabilizing brace or extended cheek rest. Look at the newest ATF ruling on stabilizing braces.
Theoretically, you could have a rifle lower with a CQB stock and a pistol lower with a CQB arm brace.

Post it.
>>33903474
the fact they refer to them as PDW stocks makes them stocks
buffertube size means nothing
>>33903375
so wrist stabilizers are pretty much the only exceptions. Are there ones for pistol buffer tubes instead of traditional ones? the only ones i can find are based on SIGs'. Blades are fucking stupid and gay

The addition of the stock to the pistol makes it an SBR. However, if you had a rifle length upper lying around and used that, THEN put that stock on, you'd be legally fine, and could even swap the configuration back and forth at a whim, as long as the pistol configuration never mates with the stock.

>PWS MK1 MOD1 uppers, rifles and pistols produced from 01-01-13 to 12-31-15 were equipped with a carrier with added mass in the tail that requires our PWS specific smaller diameter buffer for the ARC Stocks.
Is this what you mean? They're talking about buying a "pistol" AR from them, getting your NFA stamp and then converting it to an SBR by putting the stock on it and what you should be aware of because of the differences in BCG.

yeah buuuuuuut i want a barrel length to a piece that's easily maneuverable, lightweight, and compact for concealment or storage. so arm braces are all i got to work with?
>>33903604
a 16 inch barrel is all of those things
>>33903584
no, thats the option for the PWS buffer IF you bought one from them before. all the other options to buy are for your own uppers and BCGs
>>33903625
...with a can? i'm also saving up to grab one of these that i wanna use u
>>33903641
...use universally with my other 30 cals. its gonna be a 300BLK build
>inb4 "300blk is so usel...."
shut up, dont change the subject
