Just picked up this XD9 today and I'm very impressed with it so far.
Considering buying an XD40 in all honesty.

Actually this is the service model not the grip zone one, Cali hasn't approved of that one yet

Glocks, M&Ps, some Sigs, Some FNs and even some HKs are in the same price range. Why. No (you) for you.

Picked this beauty up for $700, how did I do /k/? Absolutely zero cylinder rattle, pristine bore, maybe shot a few times in its life, mid 80s Monson model. No pac, just the revolver as is

It's funny because Springfield never made the XD. They are rebranded hs2000s imported from Croatia.
I have a full-size XD-45 tactical that is my nightstand gun. It's one of my favorite .45s to shoot.

Nice OP, right before the SAI shitstorm here on /k/, My wife and I each got the new ones with the grip zone faggotry, hers 3" mine is service size. As gay as the marketing is, i think it's super comfy, and there was like a deal for extra mags, so it works for us

It makes me laugh when you dislike people liking things.
It means there's actually folks who are grumpier than me. :)

stupid phone poster
Can came in 3-4 days ago, WML adapter and threaded bbl came in today
Gun is NIB UPS9c LEM gray market gun from that classic arms firesale a few months ago.
Finally caught a unicorn. Wasn't even in the market for another 9mm, but when I finally got the chance to handle one back at my favorite gun shop in PA, and I saw it again not a day later at a gun shop near where I live now in Delaware, I took it as a sign.

they can but their laws are pretty harsh. i think licensing, must have secure storage, only bolt actions and shotguns unless 22lr, etc
Just picked both of these up for less than 500 bucks

"Playfair Aberdeen" marked flintlock pistol set. Grandpa gave them to me. Been in the family for a long time apparently.

He was just being silly cause the photo is upside down mate. Actually we can have all sorts of pistols (with a minimum barrel length) but the licensing system is prohibitively arduous to deter people from bothering and you can only shoot them at a range.
But to own rifles or shotguns it's just a matter of filling out some forms and doing a stupid day course. You can have basically any caliber but it has to be manual action (bolt, lever or pump for Centre fires, or bolt lever and break action for shotguns)
It's pretty shit, but especially for pistols it's not anywhere near as bad as people think.
