P250 is a DAO hammer fired gun, and the P320 is a striker fired handgun. They both have the same modular design with the interchangeable trigger pack which is the serialized part. Personally I'll take a good double action only trigger over a striker fired gun any day, just for the safety factor. Only thing that makes the army adopting it okay is that they'll have a manual safety, and also a more robust open carry holster than what people would CC in.
