The Gander Mountain near my place is also closing and they had a fixed 10% off sale of firearms and ammo, and steadily increasing sales on reloading components. Last weekend was 30% off on powder, if I recall correctly, but all that's left is some premium shotgun powder that's $40 a pound, even with the sale. Don't know if this applies to your store but hopefully it helps.

Snagged some unique today for 20 buckos at the Knoxville store. Still had some over priced reload equipment, but no primers left. And it was the last can of unique. No sales on ammo or guns.

Usually what happens with these going out of business sales is that a third party will buy what's left of the inventory and they are the ones doing the sale, not the original store owners.

Just watch out for inflated pricing, they may mark stuff up just to list it at 50% off, when it's still cheaper elsewhere. Local sports store going out of business got caught doing this last year

there's multiple stores in the chimpcago land area, but all of them are on the absolute outskirts of the metro area, and are all spaced out from each other that it would take all day to hit all the stores.

They are not going out of business, they are closing a few stores, they don't know which ones yet but they had all of thier stores put up the going out of business signs. This is like when the one by me opened and they put up grand opening signs on 3 or 4 separate occasions over 2 years.

Best deals are the clothing clearance racks because it's 30% off the already discounted price

Like I saw a pair of Columbia hiking shorts for 30% of $69.99. Their workboots are 40% off. $135-200 Cat, Irish Setter, and other chinese made steel toe boots with glued on soles.
everything else was 10-15% off Gander Mountains famously low prices which have gone up for a very limited time so customers can see larger savings when they apply their discounts!

I've been storing my guns in my closet, but I feel like I should really get a safe or something so they're not just all propped up against the wall.

Circuit City did this. A friend of mine worked for them at the time and they jacked everything up like 75% right before the sales.

I sold a yugo sks I bought for $250 to them for $225. None of them knew what it was. One of the managers said " who's gonna buy that?"

After an hour they offered the $225 and I accepted. On the sheet they had it listed as a wasr-10. I lol'd

The sks was meh, the gas selector was loose and it'd flip to single shot whenever I'd sit it down. There was also a pot leaf lightly carved in the stock.

As for their closing, mine has fairly cheap accessories Right now.

Guns and ammo are only 10% off, but some of the used guns look decently priced with the 10%. Almost bought a usp45 for $670. Sadly it was left handed and only came with one mag.

One has closed by me, the other has been closing for about two months now.

There will be some deals, maybe, if you can check on the store every couple weeks.

Guy behind the counter told me the liquidation company tells them what to sell at.
