The new scouts are back to proprietary mags and I hate how Savage bolts feel on unlock and through the stroke. That said every Savage I've shot has grouped well.

If it is what you want, get it, there is not much else to be had for the price with factory DBM and a threaded muzzle.

I personally would spend more to get into another manufacturer.
