BR BR
I'm presuming that it's mainly there to suppress domestic enemies rather than foreign ones, as is generally the pattern in Latin America.

Brazil has a military? Wow, it must be pretty shit then, because i've never heard a single thing about it, i didn't even know it existed.
>>33882765
Exactly.

We manly act in our own contry, against drug dealers, mineral/animal/wood traffickers, and riots in general.
It´s kinda like a post-apocalypse remaining army.
>>33882618
Uses ww2 handbooks and run by a corrupt government.

Most of those Lat Am militaries are actually fairly hardcore, given how often they need to go toe to toe with narcos and guerillas and such. Additionally, I've heard that major contracting companies hire soldiers from Latin America on the cheap for work which doesn't require western troops. I imagine the funding and equipment is sub par but there are definitely plenty of guys down there who have seen some real shit.

Retarded as fuck. This is coming from a BR fag who served.
Brazilian soldier on a peace mission.
Seem to have some descent units but all they do is fight crime right (gangs, drug cartels etc)?
I like to fuck their girlfriends ...
That's my opinion.

lol Couldn't even be slaves.
I was a conscript in 2010. NCO and officer training is decent, but soldiers and conscripts are not. Does a shit job at protecting borders. Jungle and arid fighting capabilities are decent, we get a lot of americans to train in the amazonic rain forest. Main gun is the FAL, decent radios, most transport vehicles are ww2 old.
>>33887447
Yup.
We are a ''peace'' contry, after all.
Good at some things, but warfare is not one of them; they mostly do border patrol and help out on some UN missions, like providing help to Haiti. The gear (weapons, vehicles, what have you) is mostly outdated and shitty.
>inb4 muh Military Police and slum pacification
I'm talking about actual, normal Army activities.
Their other works (Military Schools, engineering works building roads, bridges etc.) are actually pretty great.
