Bout to head to graduate school, and need to EDC again, which may or may not include a firearm if campus carry passes.

I'm looking for a new pack. I want the load I carry to be simple. Laptop (prob a X1 Carbon), tablet, e-reader, spiral notebook, knife, sunglasses, wallet. Used to carry more, but not this time. I also don't want to carry around water bottles. The pack requirements I've settled on:

What is it that you do? I myself am a EL01 electrician, wife gifted me the skeletool when I graduated. I found myself using the blade or the wire clippers a lot, the rest the stuff I didn't use as much.

Def gonna look at other ones too, so far my only experience with multi tools has been the skele, every thing else I usually grab a tool designed for that job.

I work for a GC, so it's almost always for things that are small, like speaker wire or other small cables. I use the wire strippers often, but I don't feel they're sharp enough to bite in and remove the cable insulation in one go. The screwdriver that came with it has worked for all my needs so far, thankfully.

The pliers are a whole different story though, I could use something a little tougher and more resistant to bending. This is my first multitool though, so I'm not sure if I really should be looking for something else just yet. It's done well for working on small things on the car, despite having a garage full of tools sans metalworking specific things.

The MUT IIRC was designed to be used for the AR. I've got a build going so it's a bonus if anything. Maybe it belongs better in a contingency bag instead, come to think of it.

G19 was done by a pro. Undercut, grip reduction (hump removed), internal magwell, mag scallop, grooves removed, and stippled. After my G20 came out so bad I didn't want to do another one. Now that I've done a bunch of research I feel like I could do it no prob.
Watch the vids by Damon from SSVI. He has some good ones showing his technique. Undercut and groove removal is way easy. The stipple after that works is the hard part. Practice on some A2 grips or a Glock clam shell.
