I'm deciding between the 5.5 and 7.5 with a brass backstrap and matte finish. The calibers are wither .45 LC or .357
>why cant they fucking make it in .45 acp...?
I'll post some pics i found.

Not an SAA but man i fucking love this picture.
>>33870687
I saw one with a .45 acp cylinder for $6,999 on gunbroker.

>not john wayne
.45 colt for sure. can be loaded up to some .454 pressures especially in a ruger blackhawk. dont try this unless its a ruger. whoops .44 magnum all day. also 5.5"
>>33870687
>only acceptable barrel length
Get the shorter barrel length if you go with .357 magnum.
>>33870687
I've always liked the look of the Artillery length, 5.5".
Here's my Model P in .45 Colt.
I think 5.5" balances just right with most single actions.
My advice: If you want to shoot .45 acp buy the Blackhawk convertible.
If you want a .45 acp SAA, all is not lost. Look for a donor cylinder in any other chambering, and have someonle like Taylor Machine or Linebaugh rechamber that .357 cylinder you bought off of eBay.
If you reload- it doesn't matter as much- once you have 500 empty brass you're good for years. Bullets aren't cheap for .45 Colt, but I'd suggest you buy in bulk.
I'm starting to think I should have bought one of my Blackhawks in the 9mm/.357 convertible.

as opposed to say 44mag? why's that?
>>33871826
Same, but I like both equally and can only afford one...
>>33871826
So I can get one in 45 lc, then buy a spare cyclinder and bore it to .45 acp?

Thank you

Got anymore information and pics of it?

OP, look at cimarron. They make 45acp SAA. And if you dont have any luck with that, ruger new vaquero 45acp. Thats what I got before i found the cimmarons
>>33873125
How do you like it? I like those conversion guns, but not enough to buy one over an SAA or BP...perhaps one day though
5.5" in 45 colt. 7.5" is too long to do tricks with and .357 will blow up an accurate replica.

joker pls go
>4 3/4 for gunfighter
>5.5 for actual shoosting
>7.5 for Injin removal
>>33870687
.45 acp is a comparatively vulgar cartridge. It was designed for an autoloader, a firearm superior in every way. What fun is there in shooting .45 ACP in this beautiful, obsolete gun?
What caliber and company should I get a Schofield from?
>>33875692
I love it.
>>33877046
45lc, you can shoot 45 scholfield out of it too
>>33877046
Uberti is the only one I know of that still makes them.
>>33870687
Get it in 45 Colt and start reloading for it, you fairy faggot fuck.
>>33878707
CImarron has them. THough they are made by Uberti, Cimarron has alternate options that Uberti.
>>33870687
Seems like everybody is saying 45LC and i can understand why, a buddy has one and its great. 357 is cheaper to feed though and 38 special is always an even cheaper option.

>>4 3/4 for gunfighter

>>7.5 for Injin removal
Is the 7.5 really not that "handy"? I'm 6 ft, with med sized hands. I mean the main thing i'd be concerned about is the ability to "spin" it.

4 3/4" .45 Colt, pilgrim
