Name a single country that has never copied or adapted a weapon design from another.

>>33867029
>lee enfield is a knockoff mauser
It was made by Canadian inventor living in the US and its development dates back to 1870's.
With SA80, if I understand everything correctly, the non-ergonomic flaws were mostly caused by shit-tier production quality at Enfield. Prototypes allegedly ran well and it's fucking AR18:Bulpup Edition so what the fuck could go wrong with it? Especially as there surely were some Sterling employees waiting to jump ship to Enfield, and Sterling made AR180's for civilian market.

They made direct copies of the SKS, AK, and Nugget in the 50's
>>33867629
It was quite clearly a fucking joke since China does nothing but copy other people's shit.

We're talking about military rifles here, not export-only guns.
>>33867029
the sten uses assets from the Lanchester, which is a copy of the MP28
the sten isn't a direct copy of the MP28, it is way simpler

Yea nah. About the only thing those two actions have in common is that they're both bolt action.

>lee enfield is a knockoff mauser
You could have said P14 and you'd have been correct, instead you chose the blatantly incorrect rifle
The SMLE was better, in every conceivable way, than anything the Germans were issuing at the time.
The minimum requirements for an Enfield to be accepted into service were higher than the Mausers selected for sniper usage. Once you get into scoped SMLEs, the gap opens even wider.
Universally better rifles.

I think the only things the Mauser has on the Enfield are the strong as fuck action, extractor lifespan, less headspacing problems, and rimless cartridges.
Personally I'd still prefer an Enfield if I had to fight around that time period anyway though. It's just more comfortable to me for some reason.
