What the fuck does "over cost" even mean? Every google result shows it means their adding 10% to the price but there is not really a phrase called "over cost".
Is my LGS just stupid or am I an idiot?

10% over their cost to order them.
Assume their usual markup is more.
Are you fucking serious? It's option #2.

Moron
>>33862232
Yeah, 10% over what they paid for it.
>>33862232
Usually around 20-25% for a LGS in my experience. That's a pretty good deal, especially if they have a decent selection.
Anyone else he a ca/tg/irl and confuses LGS for local gaming store?
>>33862232
Yeah you're just a fucking moron. The gubstore I work at give us a discount of cost+10%
>>33862232
>LGS orders firearm
>shipping and other charges may apply
>depending on number of firearms ordered, and flat/freight/per item shipping charges they are applied accordingly to firearms, or depending on circumstances LGS chooses to eat charge
>Firearm now has a cost basis
>they are now selling to you at 10% over their cost
Are you an actual retard
Also protip retail typically uses a "divide by" rather than "multiply by" to determine markups
For example
$100/.9=111.11 or 10% markup
$100x1.1=$110 but not a correct markup
The difference is typically described as a "cost of doing business" and simplifies numbers in certain instances for determining pricing schemes

"Anon you idiot, they're referring to their profit percentage"
Then why not just say the percentage saved from lowering over cost to 10%
Also 100/.9? Wtf
1.1*100 for a 10% over cost.
.7*100 for 30% off discount
I know both ways are correct but 100/.9 is just a fucking stupid way to write
(1 +/- %*.01)(base price)

I was a part time fa/tg/uy years ago but a lot happened when I wasn't on 4chan and I stuck to /k/ more when I came back.

>not having your LGS also be your LGS

here here
Stopped visiting /tg/, sometimes want to get into MtG again but then i check the meta and remember how much of a money sink it was and get cold feet. Maybe in another year or two when im more secure in the money department.
>>33862893
Because they don't want to tell you what their normal markup is.
Fuck off retard
>>33862893
Dividing by .9 and multiplying by 1.1 do not give you the same number
Literally stop posting dipshit moron
