Is that a slugger?
>>
Well what to you want to know?

There is a good deal of information on them.

By far, you can say that the Czechs in 1935 had developed one of the best tanks in the world with the LT vz. 35. It had good armor, a good gun, and overall was just good. The Germans used them as medium tanks until more Panzer IIIs could be deployed during France and Poland.
>>
>>33850806
yeah thats an m36
>>
>>33850850
>good armor
quote Otto:
"cheap, inelastic steel, that had a tendency to shatter instead of deform when hit"
>>
>>33851068
>One single Nazi quote

Yeah I guess we can forget how less than a handfull of them were lost during Poland, how few were lost during France, etc.

FUCKING CZECHED, EH
>>
>>33851247
he lost a gunner and his radio operator lost a leg when his (cant remember if he was in a 35 or 38) got penetrated
>>
>>33851247
"On July 8 [1941], we got hit. I had to bail out for the first time.... It happened like greased lightning. A hit against our tank, a metallic crack, the scream of a comrade, and that was all there was! A large piece of armor plating had been penetrated next to the radio operator's seat. No one had to tell us to get out. Not until I had run my hand across my face while crawling in the ditch next to the road did I discover that they had also got me. Our radio operator had lost his left arm. We cursed the brittle and inelastic Czech steel that gave the Russian 47 mm AT gun so little trouble. The pieces of our own armor plating and assembly bolts caused considerably more damage than the shrapnel of the round itself."
>>
>>33851382
A Soviet 47mm AT gun was probably going to penetrate the vehicle anyway, I highly, highly doubt that the Panzer 38(t) was going to stop it. Again, a single man's quote vs all the fact that the vehicles performed well.
>>33851357
If only it had killed all of them.

Sorry you haven't read into the service history of the tanks?

The performed well for their year of design. They worked. The British found the only problem with them was they were uncomfortable. They were sold to a number of nations and worked into even after World War Two.

Riveted armor is gay we all know this, however the thing is even the German armor that Otto praises for some reason (Probably because hes used to mediocrity) was also bad compared to the US armor due to the lack of needed additives to make good armor plating.
>>
>>33851563
sigh. when bethlehem steel went under we lost the ability to cast an armored tank turret. now we have to fabricate this shit.
>>
>>33851563
>due to the lack of needed additives to make good armor plating.

This happened at the tail end of the war, don't act like it had always been shitty.
>>
>>33851624
Thats funny because it was overall inferior to US steel from before, during and late into the war. The Germans had problems with this, that is why they imported a good chunk of their raw materials from other nations like Sweden. Thatsa major reason they went to war lol, to become self-sufficient.
>>
>>33851661
I was just calling you out on your implication, I know why they went to war.

Is it just memeing or do the Czechs seem to develop better equipment than a nation of their size is usually capable of?
>>
>>33848655
That looks like the unholy offspring of a Sherman, a Panther, and a T-34...
>>

>Well what to you want to know?

Well, who had them , for one. I know the Germans used them. Did they just capture some or did they keep making them them after Czechoslovakia got annexed?

Czechs are renowned for their arms production. Its a thing.
>>
>>33855291
not like the Slovakians had anything to do with it.
>>

>>
>>33852934
afaik, Czechoslovaks themselves stopped the production before annexation.
VZ.38 was superior to VZ.35 in all ways and there was no point of making more VZ.35s
>>
>>33855282
I know about the Jackson, but you have to admit that the gun mantlet just screams "Panther" and the inward-sloped armor on all 4 sides is kinda Soviet-ish...
>>
>>33856366
geographically they're the perfect mix of slavic and german. the only result can be god-tier weapons production
>>
>>33852380
Czechoslovakia had a decent economy at the time.
For comparison, Austria looked like a 3rd world shithole next to them back then.
