Once again Colt does too little too late. A few people will buy this revolver because meme magic. Your average joe looking for a CCW will buy a Smith or a Ruger.

If anything called the Python or Anaconda comes to market again. It will be nothing like the old guns. Even if it externally looks like them there is no way to make those guns again and not charge WAY more than the market would bear. Old school hand fitting is never coming back.

Allow me to present a counterpoint:

The limited issue repro of the Colt 1903 is a good example of why this business model is dumb: the production was contracted out, despite the product bearing the Colt logo etc. It was of one of the least attractive variants of the firearm in question (parkerized type 3). It was at a price point well above what an original in good shape is selling for.

It's not a poorfag issue. It's a who the fuck do they think they're kidding issue.

It's kinda big for what it is, so it's not exactly the perfect carry piece. However it's adequate and oozes class to make up for any shortfalls.

The "modern version" I'd endorse would be .380, with bolt hold open on empty. That'd be about it in terms of changes.
