Hey /k/ whats your favourite tank? My personal favourite is KV-2 because of it's use in history.

This little shit. Cheap, fast. More or less bullet-proof. Would have kicked ass as a cavalry tank in World War One Part 2.

I frequently have fantasies of showing up an action movie where a bunch of gangsters are killing each other in a warehouse with Uzis, and just killing all of them with the Hotchkiss gun while their rounds harmlessly bounce off the century old steel
>>
>>33846692
I remember reading in a book years ago that the whole idea for them was to basically blast buildings, barricades, and fortifications the fuck out of the way because germans were struggling in house to house actions(namely stalingrad), to circumvent that they re-purposed a naval launcher to chuck bigass rockets.

But by the time they were in service they were too few and too far from the eastern front to be of use, and were pressed into the defense of germany. Low rate of fire and pretty shit accuracy made them only circumstantially effective on the defensive, although one Sturmtiger was supposedly able to cripple 4-5 Shermans with one accidentally well placed shot.

Just wonder, what is on the photo? Because that is not a KV-2. KV-2, is a boxy turret with 152 mm gun, on top of KV-1 chasis. Here, we have IS-2 chasis, more than that, its a newest of IS-2 with rationally angled single-piece glasis.
