You're larping if you wear this.

Larping a cocksucking faggot from 1993 named Lex Luthor from the Legion of Doom, a legendary hacker group.

>so cheap, just buy another one.

I've been in a lot of thick and thin since I got mine, and it's still going strong (albeit it is very scratched up)
>>
I have an original Gshock and it's great. Nice subtle design and is very durable.

was about $50

Which makes the watch quite useless in certain geographic locations for part of a year. For example in northern Norway the period of darkness for each winter (period when sun does not rise above horizon) is over 50 days.

Try 10 months + some change if he actually goes outside. Atomic watches use a fuck-ton of power in relation to other watches. I mean, the Bin Laden tested f-91w lasts 10 years.

Dont get this specific model

Protip: All the digital watchfaces with negative displays are only readable in really bright conditions. You're sitting in a not-so sunlit room? You will need the light of the wacht to read your timepiece.
>>
>>33843566

Yeah. It makes a good talking point. Old fucks love it and say stuff like "I had one like this back when I was a kid in the 80's.

Actually my F91 is surprisingly resilient. I've had it underwater in a salty creek fucking around with an outboard motor many times and it's held up a treat
>>
>>33843886
Yeah but its not meant to survive that. I mean some watches, like yours, maybe able to withstand but just a quick move that increases the water pressure at the wrong spot offs the watch.

I know, the F91 is so cheap it dont really matter but still...

Mine survives 6+ feet deep, jumping in to the bottom, multiple trips to the pool, years of showers as well, over a year of washing dishes at a fast food place where I spent probably at least 2 hours a night doing dishes.

Sorry man, my arms look like that since I've been 16yo (34 now). Didnt do anything to gain hair - thats my dad's genes, his arms look the same. And you should see how monkey-ish it looks after I drove longer Interstate distances with the left arm out of the window - the hair is like 1-2 inches long.

But as much as I understand that you dont like your hairless arms, lemme tell you, that you dont have "just" hairy arms. To be honest, if I had black hair, I'd look like a damn Wookie - with a bald because I'm a hairy mofo everywhere but on top

So be careful what you wish for, you might get bigass razor bills afterwards

>>33844207
As I wrote here >>33843947
They are not meant to survive it. The F91 is only rated "water resist" which means rain and nothing more. Its good to see that yours obviously is tougher, but I wouldnt count on that. And hey: Whats the price difference between a F91 and a DW5600 like I got ? Is it 30 bucks or even less?

Does anyone know of any /k/ approved watches with one of those little diving timers on them?

I want a simple durable watch that I can use to time my rest between sets when I'm working out

I was inspired to get one by the watch in metro 2033, but all the watches with timers I can find online are huge and bulky and look shitty. I've even tried looking up the specific metro 2033 watch, but all of the replicas look to be super shitty and I want something that'll last a while.

How much do you hate changing watch batteries and how long do you expect to keep this watch once you buy it?
A typical watch battery lasts about ten years, but you can replace them indefinitely on your own, while the solar battery is good for about 25-30 years before it needs to be replaced at the factory.

Take a step back, jack. You tell me that your watch can make calls, function as a GPS, browse the internet, take/store pictures, play music, games, and movies, function as a word processor, and destroy pleb arguments on /k/ AND THEN we'll talk.

Been there, done that.
Pic related is underwater in the sink. If I'm going swimming, I'll wear a watch if I absolutely must know the time. But let's be honest here, you have never needed that and definitely never needed to do math in a fucking swimming pool, especially math that required the use of a fucking calculator. You motherfuckers can never just admit when you lose an argument. Shame desu. I'll admit that I'd rather have that watch if I was doing elite underwater sniper calculations, but my phone blows it out of the water in literally every other aspect.

A watch is not a replacement for a phone.

But a phone is heavy and if you don't need it, you shouldn't have it.

All I'm saying is that the watch adds no significant weight to your person yet gives you a calculator and a date/time piece.

The phone certainly will grant you more utility, but it's heavier, easier to lose, easier to break, and unless you keep more weight on you in the form of a battery, monumentally more limited in usage time until the battery is drained.

Which is a problem innawoods or anywhere that isn't a first world country.

>you have never needed that and definitely never needed to do math in a fucking swimming pool

pic related, I never said anything about using the calculator underwater.

>>
>>33861310
I get what you're saying, but why not just get both? I agree that neither really replace each other, but the point I'm getting at is that you should not buy a fucking calculator watch when you have a phone. It's redundant and limits your choice of watches to only a handful. Here's what I'm saying, buy a watch for style, buy a phone for everything else. Maybe there are some oper8ers out there that need to have a calculator for working in the field, but I don't think that's anyone on 4chan. All I'm saying is that you could buy a much better looking watch because 1) you have a phone that can do math and a million other things and 2) you don't need to do math on a fucking hike if you must leave your phone behind for some reason.

It's more insurance than anything.

If my phone dies and I ever need a watch, I'll have one, but I'll also have a calculator on hand.

I'm saying I'd rather just conveniently check the watch for time/date and calculations rather than digging my phone out of my pocket.

And, if my phone dies on a hike, or if the very unlikely even of SHTF ever really occurs, I'll essentially have a calculator and time piece until I'm either stripped of my clothes or I die.

The phone could break, die, get stolen much easier, lost, etc.

While this thing never leaves my wrist.

As far as looks are concerned, who gives a flying fuck.

If anything, this things light weight acts as drop protection because it doesn't have enough mass to gain any significant speed from a reasonable drop.

And Analog watches are basically fucked if you drop them a good three times, so I'd never consider owning one, especially a really expensive one.

Plus, if it's cheap, it's easily replaced, so no harm done if I actually do lose or or it somehow breaks.

You understand how shitty digging crap out of your pocket gets if you need to do it quickly, and/or you're wearing heavy, metal, skeleton-like clothes.

Free prop for ya'll

If you go shooting on a regular base, always go digital

Why? Because as much as the recoil affects cheap scopes, it affects the watches you're wearing.

Mechanical watches, even very expensive ones, don't hold up well to prolonged recoil, going either too quick or slow pretty soon

Same goes, to a lesser extend, with analog Quarz watches. Keep in mind that the mechanical parts are very small and sensitive. Yeah, they may survive a drop, because they were made tp. But every round you fire is like a small drop on the floor.

See my pic as ONE example and if you dont believe me, google "negative display watch" and see on your own that virtually every forum discourages buyers

Also, specially regarding the pic you've postet: Thats a shop pic - every watch will look great on these. If you want the real deal, google again or go to a dealer and fingerfuck the specific watch you want.

And again: DONT BUY NEGATIVE DISPLAYS

Mechanical self winding, waterproof to 300m, and made from stainless steel. Will outlast any casio.
Could also be used for trading in shtf scenario

Between the late '50s, and the mid '70s, digital watches sat in the luxury watch price-point, and had to compete with the likes of Rolex and others. That's why you see a lot of gold and silver electroplating on early digital watches. Once LCD screens became economical, digital watches were able to vastly undercut the inexpensive analog watch market, as well as stopwatches simultaneously, which also killed demand for high-end digital watches, like the one you quoted.

No.

If you want to get into Swiss mechanical I would go for a used Rolex Air-King which can be had for around $1500-$2000.

They still do. Thread's up right now in fact. A couple of them have rolexes and omegas but generally not much more. Mostly Seikofags. Although there was this rich lawyer who used to post that had a Patek and I *think* a nice Carl Bucherer.
