Good FMF corpsmen are essentially Marines but with medical expertise. They are expected to due exactly the same Marine bullshit, but can get away with looser hair regs. Equipment is the same, you go to CIF or IIF or whatever warehouse you go to watch your dreams shrivel up and die, AKA wait long enough and maybe you'll get your gear, or maybe come back tomorrow and try again. Plus, if you wanna get your skates sharp you can pull the ol' I'm needed in the BAS card. Unless you're in H&S, then there is no escape.

Navy and Marine Corps tends to share the same gear anyways (coyote brown MTV/IMTVs, same ground vehicles etc).

Docs stay in the same barracks as the platoon they are attached too. They wear Marine marpat cammies, but with naval insignia. While on deployment a good unit gives them marine chevron's instead because navy insignia is large as fuck and makes them a target. The only time our docs were in a Navy uniform was when they wore their cracker jacks for the Marine Ball.

In Garrison doc usually PTs with you but man's sickbay during the rest of the day. In the field they are pretty much 100% attached to platoon, and is often expected to carry out the same performance as the Marines around him. Exception is they usually perform a shift in FOB sickbay as opposed to standing post. Also there's usually only 1 doc per platoon, so while they go on patrols he can't be expected to go on every single one.
