The recoil system does nothing at best and is worse than nothing when firing full auto because it jerks the gun upward when the weight bounces back.

Also barrel too short, uses too much plastic.

Not what I've heard from people who have actually tried it. All the basics for an effective recoil buffer are there. And it has the low bore axis going for it as well.

That said I do think whoever decided "redirecting" the bolt would be a good idea was on crack. All in all, a Becker-type API action (a la Oerlikon 20mm or AA-12) is the perfect recoil buffering system IMO.

Any mechanical locking is going to sharply transmit the recoil impulse from the bolt into the barrel and frame. There are ways to counteract this but if your goal is minimizing felt recoil, it's better to just use a heavier bolt and let inertia do all the "locking."

Primarily I have one because it folds up and goes in a backpack, and my EDC is a Glock 19 in 9mm. The mags are interchangeable and, should SHTF, I can just dump all my 9mm in a bag, grab all 10 mags between them, and not have to worry about which gun shoots what.

That was just shitty media and not how or why the recoil seems less. The bolt movement doesn't do shit. The action being inline with the hand does. Think of it as the FG-42 or ARs inline recoil but instead of into the shoulder, it goes into the hand. Pretty much does what it says on the box, but the whole thing came decades too late to matter. Still waiting doe some CAD-fag to mock up a bullpup stock for one though
