So /k, if you carry as often as you say you do then inevitably you run into a scenario where drinks are being served. Are you pic related? One or two? Cooter brown? Let me know.
>inb4 atf
>>33834098
So basically you're asking if we get drunk while carrying funs?
Go away ATF.
>>33834135
One or two hardly considers getting drunk. Just wanted a general consensus of attitude on the topic.
The state i am in has a limit of .04 BAC when carrying. So my guestimation is 1 drink would be okay. Any more than that and you might be flirting with that line depending on how big you are/how much you ate that day.
>>33834098
>no thanks, I don't feel like drinking tonight.
Literally all you have to say.
In michigan its retarded. You can actually consume alcohol while open carrying or oc into a bar so long as you dont get "intoxicated". You cant cc and comsume or cc and enter a place where 51%+ of income is from liquor sales at all. Shit sucks. It should be you can cc but not exceed x bac. Hell i should be able to carry and get hammered and just get charged if i nd or brandish.
>>33834098
I might have a single beer but nah if I am going out to get shit faced or know there is a chance my friends are going to feed me liquor gun stays in the vehicle locked up.
NO restrictions where I am but I won't get shit faced but will drink
>>33834098
I never have nor ever will smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs.
>>33836947
You have a lifetime of heartaches and dissappointments ahead of you. I seriously hope you don't try to face it all without having a drink.
>>33834098
I don't drink
>>33837221
It will be my penance.
>>33837238
Don't be a hero, son. We all need help sometimes, and sometime the best help can be found at the bottom of a glass.
>>33834098
Best not to for liability purposes if you needed to use it since restaurants have cameras, but that being said I'll have up to 2 light beers or 1 heavy one when I'm carrying
>>33834098
say I'm driving and get a coke
>>33836947
I had this attitude, then I got into a stressful job and started smoking.
Then I discovered hipster beers and now I drink regularly one night a week.
>>33838401
One night a week is less than moderate honestly. Smoking is retarded but your drinking habits sound pretty light
>>33838440
The point wasn't about how much I drink, it was about the fact that I gave up on this sissy white-knight attitude >>33836947
>>33834098
while carrying? no. but i do usually sip on some bourbon or fat tire while im cleaning after the range. not sure that counts
I can drink 2 beers while carrying without batting an eye, but driving is out of the question.
I'm the sleepy drunk so I don't tend to drink much. I did discover l-theanine a while ago and it made the buzz much more manageable.
>>33834683
nuke Detroit
>>33838401
I used to drink, smoke and curse for no reason at all. Now, thanks to my job, I have a reason.
>>33839227
>>33836947
>>33834098
If I'm going out where I'll have a drink or two, depends on the area. I'll usually at least take my pocket rocket, if not my IWB.
Going out to get drunk? Probably just bring the stun gun.
>>33834098
Off duty responsibilities demand that I can legally drive at all times....so one beer every 4 hours is my limit.
>>33834098
>>33836947
Suit yourself but it's quite the pain going through life without something to soften it a little bit.
>>33834098
I had 1 beer and it tasted like shit. Wouldn't have even had that unless my cousin wanted me to get my first beer with him. Never had any desire to drink and I never want to lose control of myself. Plus it's a huge waste of money.
>>33840383
There's more than one type of beer, there's more than one flavor of beer, there's a broad range between sober and liver failure, you sound like a middle schooler.
>>33840401
What part of:
>Never had any desire to drink
Did you not understand? Why would I spend money on something I have no interest in and was not even pleasant to begin with? Would you suggest I go around trying different drinks until I find one I like? Why fucking bother when I didn't want to drink in the first place?
>>33840552
Neat, but not all beer tastes bad and a thimble full doesn't result in a trip to the ICU for a stomach pump. Congrats, you played yourself.
>>33840383
>>33838401 Here. I get what you're saying, and I don't need to drink to have a good time, but I've had plenty of fucking good times while drinking with friends. I wouldn't call it a waste of money any more than shooting.
When you carry a weapon, you're responsible for being in control of that weapon and yourself.
Anything that compromises that is your fault.
Don't drink and carry.
>>33834098
I make sure to bring extra rounds, so we can shoot shit
>>33834149
Usually, avoid completely, just say I'm watching my weight and I'll pass.
Though desu I can drink 2-3 beers without feeling anything.
I have on occasion had (1) beer while carrying, but certainly never more than that, and only in the presence of friends I know and trust to not be dumbasses.
I don't drink, so don't need to worry.
>>33834098
Well, I just don't drink period
>I don't drink. Thank you, though
Or you can be like this anon
>>33834633
I get drunk while carrying. Don't give a fuck. I am not some redneck shithead who starts fights with people. I don't tell people I have a gun because that's the entire point of carrying concealed. Have carried for years while drinking and it has been an issue a grand total of zero times.
Grow up and learn how to do drugs ya pansies.
Do you not drink just because you happen to have to drive? Smh. Who cares
>>33840284
kek
>>33834098
I dont drink alcohol outside my house. At first it was because of cost but it then became a normal thing. Now with CCW it works perfect with my life style. Few of my friends know I CCW, so this worked out when I got it.
>>33834098
CO is retarded in that literally any BAC besides 0 is illegal. You could drink a kombucha or NA beer and get popped and banned from carrying for life
>>33838560
>sissy white-knight attitude
>>33837378
heh, no.
having a drink too much can be fun when there's friends and a situation to enjoy, still keeping almost all of yourself togheter.
drinking alone to soften problems is just having a bigger, fatter problem: alcoholism
You'll still wake up with all those problems unsolved, and a big one on top of them
Don't be an idiot and say to others idiotic suggestions.
>>33841311
>redneck shithead who starts fights with people.
Seems most the crime comes from blacks and their "urban" youth.
Go away hipster.
People join the gym.
>>33844006
This.
My attitude about alcoholism is that if you're drinking because you want to have a drink for fun, you're probably okay.
If you're drinking because being sober is scary or painful for whatever reason, you've got a problem.
It's .08 where I live, so it depends. Sometimes we'll walk around the island having one beer with dinner or stop in someone for a beer, I'll carry then but if I'm going out with the guys I lock it in the glove box. I mostly only drink on weekends now though with the gf, I'm on a steep cut (/fit/izen reporting)
>>33834098
>1438 AH
>consuming alcohol

>All of my close friends either carry or know I carry.
When I say "no thanks" or "water please" they get it. Simple shit son
>>33844006
>>33844215
>Implying you know anything about alcoholism, true sadness, and loss.
>>33834098
If I'm going to be drunk, no. If I'm just having a drink or two, yeah, I carry.
