I've been looking over handguns for ccw and ive narrowed it down to a sig sp2022 or a glock 36, it'd be every day carry, biggest concern with the glock is it's 6+1 chamberd. Sig ive seen too many

posts and im fairly stupid to handguns.

Nigga, ">lol9mm" is a meme that had some validity in the 80's but not anymore, there's basically no difference in terminal ballistics between 9mm, .40 s&w, and .45acp
Go with the Glock. The explosion will confuse your attacker and give you enough time to escape.

>Not old enough to qualify for .45 AARP
Just get a 9mm. Get a glock if the frame/trigger feel alright to you. Get the sig if they don't.

Any handgun caliber will have countless anecdotes about how "I pumped him full of lead and he just KEPT COMING"
It's true, technically, but with more chances to hit you have more chances to stop the threat. Say you get the .45, have to use it, and your shot placement goes like this:
Arm
Miss
Miss
Miss
Shoulder of same arm
Miss
Glances off skull
Miss
Miss
Miss
Granted you'd be a terrible shot, and the objective wrt training is to land as many hits as possible. But, in a self defense situation adrenaline is going to be a factor. For these reasons and myriad others, the prevailing wisdom is to go with 9mm. Get the Sig.

Hey OP, I'm about to post a series of images and talk a little bit about each of them. You might have a little more information than you did before, and you might change your mind about some choices. Starting with my SP2022

PT111 G2

LC9s
I will recommend any of these guns to you based on whatever your criteria may be. They're all chambered in 9mm, they're all pleasant to shoot, they're all in a different price range, and they're each in a different class. I have concealed all of them with success, but I am a big guy. Super tall and 260lbs kinda big guy.
If you live somewhere cold year-round, and money is not a huge issue, I would go for the SP2022, as it is the priciest of the three, the biggest, and (probably) the most reliable. It's also fastest to respond with a DA/SA trigger and decocker. This is the gun I used to qualify as armed security with, it's the first handgun I ever bought, and it's my service pistol.
If you want capacity, which I'm sure you do, live somewhere mild year-round, and maybe on a budget or have a smaller frame than I - or even both, let me introduce the PT111 G2. This handy pistol fits a niche I never knew I needed until I had a long look at both subcompacts and full size pistols. If you're going casual wear, want smaller form, but also want to keep capacity, this is a great compromise. It's the cheapest pistol I've bought, and it has the widest range of compatible magazines I've seen outside of Glock.
Lastly, I have here the LC9s. It's the smallest gun on the list here, it's got the best trigger of the three, and if you need to dress formal or very light, this option will not steer you wrong. Unfortunately it has the smallest magazine of the bunch, as it is a single stack, but that's the price of concealability as the bottom line. As far as price goes, it falls somewhere between the PT111 and SP2022, but has the smallest aftermarket of either gun if that's what you're into.
None of these guns have failed me, but try as manufacturers do, not all guns are made equal. I know I haven't answered all questions you might have, so if you have something feel free to ask.

And of course, having all three is better than just one.

I appreciate all of the information. I've decided to get the Sig.
Although ill imagine i'll get another gun from your list of the 3. They all look pretty nice.
