Definitely ecologist for me as well. I've been taking a lot of science courses at college over the past 3 semesters and I've really come to love it. Plus, I've only got two handguns and one shotgun to my name, so if I really WERE in an apocalyptic, nuclear wasteland, I wouldn't be the guy doing the fighting, I'd be the guy running around with an old Nagant revolver and a shitload of testing equipment, praying that I'd be using the latter a lot more than the former.

Going to abandoned Military compound later this month.
and when I mean abandoned I mean a few buildings are abandoned a mile away from the small, but currently active military base. I'm not telling anyone specifics but maybe in a few weeks I'll have some pictures to show.

Now I don't get too spooked when I'm drunk but I really hope I don't do something stupid to get me friend and I arrested and fined or worse: gunned down. I'll post a thread but in the meantime its all anxiety.

Turns out they were Hmong refugees fresh from laos, I guess khmer rouge snipers waiting to ambush civilians from the trees was a very real thing there.

Well park rangers are one thing. But my real issue is the marines.

They go around on ATVs and since this thing is a giant valley I think I have a good 40 seconds to jump into a bush or something and cuddle up with a rattlesnake. Yeah, silicone does well with everything BUT blister agents. MCU design is kinda trash anyways. Especially the nosecup, fuck MCU nosecups.
The Avon S-10 and FM-12 designs are my go-to masks of choice. Currently waiting on an M50 canteen adapter so I don't have to buy britbong canteens to use my S-10's drinking tube. Also my second comfiest mask.

I'd suggest going vanilla your first playthrough. Most mods fuck with damage and the in game economy, either making it too easy or impossible to beat. The vanilla graphics arn't great, but I find they do a good job of setting the atmosphere of the game.

Also make sure you play on max difficulty. Bullets do much more damage to you, but it also applies to your own bullets. Lower difficulty enemies are absolute bullet sponges.
