It does seem like some folks get carried away with threadlocker compounds, either by spraying that shit anywhere threads are present, or using too tough a compound for the application.

Yes, blue loctite. Not red or purple. Use the blue. It does what it's supposed to do and you can remove it easily.

Any screw on my guns or holsters gets 242 loctite. On my AR alone, I have the following loctited down
>weaponlight to light mount
>light mount to rail
>red dot to optic mount
>rear backup sight

242 loctite is the way to go.

Don't cure into a hard resin like normal threadlockers. though it holds fasteners in place and is reusable.
