There's St. Petersburg, for one thing. Also, Stalingrad doesn't exist anymore. It's called Volgograd now. And Russia still would be a thing. As with any nation, the removal of the state does not signify the removal of the people. They would still live on, and things would be much the same as they've always been. As usual, this croat has no idea what he's talking about. For one, he didn't bother to look up the state of respective civil defense programs in US and Russia. In Russia, up to 30% of defense budget is being spent on the nuclear bunkers. Moscow shelter alone can accomodate 12 million people. On average, it would take about 5 minutes to run to the nearest metro station from anywhere in the city. Does New York or LA have such facilities?

Managers of the Zenit Arena, a giant half-built stadium in St. Petersburg, received an official demand from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to provide for wartime shelter facility underneath the arena, because the place is considererd a potential “zone of war destruction and radiation fallout.” How much of current construction in the US is built with the idea of inevitable thermonuclear bombing in mind?

40 million people took part in 2016 civil defense rehersals in Russia, learning about how to hide and where exactly to run to in case of a nuclear war. When was the last time America had nationwide exercises of this scale? Something tells me that the only contingency scenarios of such magnitude in US include marital law and FEMA camps.
