Recently picked up this double barrel. I was hoping someone here would know a little more of the history behind it and when it was made. All I know is that it was made in Belgium for a small shop in Brooklyn NY that closed down decades ago.

I wonder how many mobsters spent their last seconds on this plane of existence looking down the barrel of that thing.

That pineapple shaped object in the corner is a Belgian proof mark. Shotgun was made in belgium.

The gunshop appears to have closed but one of the relatives still maintains a facebook and posts on forums regarding the things the shop sold and gives info on it's history.

I think I'll shoot the guy and email and see what he can tell me. Maybe they kept the order records... Sounds like not that many are around.

Thanks. It seems like it's worth getting repaired.
Nothing is safe from bubba... I highly doubt the butt plate, screw and sling swivel are original.

From a little digging it sounds like only around 200 of these were ever made. One sold at James D. Julia for over $5000.

Wow! I'm glad I got it. Only cost me $150. I'd really love to have someone fix the stock and forend. Usually I'll try to fix stuff on my own but I wouldn't attempt to do anything to this gun. Are any of you guys familiar with a place that specializes in vintage shotguns of this style? There's really not much by me.
