If you go with the sub 2000 at least get the gen 2. Has better sights and comes with rails.

My new Harrington and richardson backpacking guns. Top is harrington and richardson 45 long colt carbine with some holes drilled to mount a scope. Bottom is h & r 12 gauge with a 32 inch barrel

Own one.
Mine isn't picky, eats what I feed it. Maybe 600 rounds that I've put through it (bought secondhand)
Folds so it's easy to store and clean.
Damn near impossible to get a good cheek weld, so using the irons is a little awkward - however since it folds the way it does, mounting an optic requires a special adapter or resigning yourself to not folding it.

It's good for what it is
Eventually I'll probably buy a CZ Evo or a Zenith MP5.
For now this gun works pretty well.

12 gauge disassembles via one big easy pin

I would prefer a 10/22 take down with x22 backpacker stock or a papoose but that may be a decent option.

I think .22lr makes more sense for SAWC and especially suppression if you go for the takedown 10/22, as it comes factory threaded.

The entire gun is only rated to last 6000 rounds.

it fucking sucks and It always makes me feel bad. The design is good but QC is shoddy and materials are bad. Like I don't even know how kel-tec gets their polymer so shitty.

I picked up a gen 2 over the weekend since it was cheap and suppressor ready. I had a gen 1 model that I sold about 8 years ago. It worked fine. I'm looking forward to taking this to the range next week. Hopefully it works just as well.

sold mine, did not like it. was not comfortable to shoot in the slightest. its only use is as a backpack gun for emergency bear/wildlife/ruffian encounters. as a range toy it looks way cooler than it feels

You can get stock and barrel sets for a glock that comes with a 16" barrel. Just don't put the stock on before you swap the barrel out.

Owned gen 1, malfunctioned on the second to last round in every magazine like clockwork. Sent it back 3 times with example cases that had been mangled by the gun and they eventually just sent me a gen 2 for free.

The gen 2 has been reliable, but the front sight detent that keeps it straight needs loktite and they don't put any on at the factory. The finish is also utter shit and doesn't resist rust well at all. Took it camping and after one night of rain superficial rust was already all over the castle nut.

Mine shoots ~4in groups at 50 yards with Blazer Brass 115 gr.

Overall 7/10 for me because I care about very little aside from reliability but probably 4/10 in anyone else's mind.

If you get one with glock mags make sure you get the 19/23 version and not the 17/22 so you can accept all mags
