Here is a minigun that you can buy that runs in home AC wall outlets chambered in 5.56mm.

Uhhhhhh
>>
>>33818039
>that you can buy

I got bad news for you sunshine.
>>
>>33818039
The craziest thing in that video is that guy has about $500 worth of fucking snapcaps.
>>
You can buy them but it has to be a dealer's/manufacutrer's license no? Also maybe for LE?
>>
If you don't connect it to power and hand crank it instead doesn't it not count as full auto? Maybe you can even get away with the delinking/feed system being electrically assisted without being classified as automatic. How much torque do you think you'd need to spin the barrels and work the action?
>>
>>33818116
An 07/02 could buy one or make one, an 01/03 could get their hands on one if the cops OK it or someone who has one is giving up their SOT or FFL.

LE can get their hands on one, too, but I'm sure none would bother with it.
>>
Daily reminder that the correct answer to any headline that ends in a question mark is "no".
>>
>>33818117
Considering it's built to be run by a motor, that's pretty much asking for the ATF to shoot your dog.
>>
>>33818117
Instead of a hand crank, why not a foot pedal like old school sewing machines?
>>
>>33818135
>LE can get their hands on one, too, but I'm sure none would bother with it.

Enhanced riot suppression is coming, friend.

These will sell like hotcakes.
>>
>>33818039

Someone get DARPA on board so they can mount that on ATLAS.
>>
>>33818194

>Attach to bicycle
>Start pedaling
>Bangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbang
>Shit. Guess it's stationary.
>Find target.
>Start pedaling
>bangbangbangbangbangbangbangbangbang
>Also moving.
>SHIT!
>Figure out a system
>Fire and move
>Swivel on the gun
>Such Xtreme power can't be reigned in.
>Can't stop pedaling if you want to live.
>Can't stop shooting if you want to move.
>>
>>33818268
Put the gun facing backwards. Now you move fast when you shoot

Neat. I'll probably never own one, but someone will and that's good enough.
>>

>Face the minigun behind you
>Attach the crank to the wheel
>Start pedaling to begin firing
>Recoil moves you faster
>wheels turn faster
>Wheels crank gun faster
>Achieve light speed?

secret service will probably pick up a few for their applications, also probably DoE, and some larger state/city agencies especially in cities with ports or that run a lot of helos like NYPD/LAPD/Philly
>>

I highly doubt it. This gun has existed for decades and no one has adopted it.
>>
With existing technology you could make a partial exoskeleton that would let you fire it with one hand and carry about 2000 rounds. Would it have any use?

Bah. Gimme an American 180 and I'm set.

In what situation do you need a portable minigun to wildly spray gunfire into everyone within 200 degrees in front of you?

Some sort of extreme riot, or just because that police department doesn't care about how it spends you're tax money.

Just store the motor in a go cart, are they going to go through your toolbox and see if you could refit the thing?

This tbqh

I'm enormously appreciative of these guys designing a fucking portable minigun, but the American 180 would just be cheaper to shoot by its very nature.
>>
D-Day showed that a gun with a high rate of fire is not good enough to hold back human wave attacks. What we need is low firerates. 600 rounds per minute at most, but 460 to 520 RPM is ideal.
>>
>>33822631
What you need for human wave attacks are flame throwers
>>
>>33822631

I wanna see a rotary gun firing at 600-800 RPM.
>>
>>33822631

I've always thought something like that would be more ideal. A high enough rate of fire to put some lead downrange, but not so high that you burn through all your ammunition in half the time it takes your enemy to do the same.

>Braaaaap ensues
>>
I get so tired of these PR stunts

>hey guys we made (insert NFA item here) anyone can buy one!
>if they are a dealer
>with an LEO letter
>if its a full moon
>then burn some incense
>you also gotta sacrifice a dozen virgins
>and finally you give us $150,000 and its yours!

This means preciseley jack shit to 99.999% of people.

>>
>>33823018
The Microgun was developed initially by General Electric and no one wanted it. Chopping down the barrel doesn't make it more desirable.

That's not a handheld Minigun. That's some 5.56-knockoff.

*This* is a handheld Minigun:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5FgePpGFWA&t=104s

7.62mm? Check.
Integrated powersupply and ammo supply in the pack? Check.
Full fire rate of 3000spm? Check.

>>33826849
This. He shouldn't be allowed to think, let alone write, about my brrrrtfu
>>
>>33826242
The Microgun is an entirely different weapon. That's akin to calling any 5.56mm rifle an "M16".
