They do make pure copper bullets. Why are you under the impression that silver bullets would fuck up the barrel? Barrels are made to withstand harder things than it.

Well yeah, but it would be less fast than copper which bullets are normally jacketed with. Silver bullets wouldn't do any more damage to a barrel than normal bullets would.

The copper jacketing deforms with the lead decreasing wear. Pure copper or silver bullets don't deform as easily to grip the rifling. Silver bullets are also less accurate than lead partially because they don't grip as well

pure copper bullets are pretty common. any wear difference between copper and lead is going to take a hell of a lot of rounds to be noticeable. just practice with normal fmj and carry the silver ones when you're out on the moors.

Also another thing with silver bullets is that after you cast them they do shrink a little bit as they cool. So make sure that if you're making your own silver bullets that you account for that

>Silver whether a bullet or a blade
Silver is effective against spoops that are categorized as "evil". Silver is considered "pure" and that is what gives it its power over "evil".

>White Ashwood
White Ash is another material that's effective against spoops. Based on the stories shared by various anons it seems skinwalkers / yee naaldlooshii have a sort of allergic reaction to it, similar to a vampire's garlic allergy. Carve a stock out of this for your rifle / shotgun and you'll have a weapon worthy of monster hunting.

>Salt
Salt is another "pure" material. Usually used to create barriers that are impassable to spirits. Supposedly it interrupts their "coherrence" causing them to dissipate when encountering a salt barrier. I suppose you could also use rock salt shotgun shells to banish spirits from a distance, but that just seems like a waste to me.

>Holy water / oils
Doesn't have to come from a Christian priest. So long as the blessings are pure and benevolent it should prove an effective weapon / deterrent to evil creatures/spirits

>A Sword
Swords are effective because of the symbolism behind them, truth, justice, authority, etc, etc. They're better used as a focus for exorcisms and banishment rituals than as an actual weapon. Although they are still effective against flesh and blood critters, but I'd rather just use a gun for something like that.

Doesn't have to be faith in a higher power, just faith in what you're doing is right and just. Spiritual creatures have the hardest time overpowering those with strong faith. It is your greatest shield, use it.

The symbology and familiarity behind a sword makes it more effective. Also a sword has better reach for when/if you actually have to fight in "melee" range. A mace would work though. And if that's what you prefer or gives you a better focus more power to ya.
