What happened to the AA-12?
How often do our armed forces need a thicc full auto shotgun?
>>33812500
Seems like a cool idea though.
>>33812481
it works really good inside but the pump action has better accuracy when aiming so usually people go with that
>>33812481
Nobody bought them.
Military and police forces weren't interested, not enough people with the relevant licenses bought enough of them.
Maybe if they'd made a semi-auto version it would've sold better, but that kind of defeats the point.

Shame, seemed like really good idea. Thanks for the info.
>>33812530
Not really, the point was that it had extremely low recoil for a 12 gauge
It's firing rate was extremely slow for an automatic weapon. I can shoot my vepr12 faster in semi than the AA12 fires in full retard.

There's not really much practical use for a full auto shotgun. The most usage it's gotten is pretty much just fucking around on youtube.
The military don't use shotguns besides for breaching doors and other boring jobs, a full auto shotgun is kind of pointless for that purpose. The AA-12 is way bigger and less practical to carry around than the guns they already use for breaching.
Police have no use for a full auto shotgun either. Maybe riot control if you stuff it full of beanbags or rubber bullets, but that's a big maybe.
It was a solution looking for a problem.

I see, thanks for educating me.
I bet this could have turned the tide in the Great Emu War.
>>33812626
Hahaha, good one.
>>33812626
They say nothing is new.
Sometimes it's worth another go.
It only appeared in one CoD game.
>>33812481
why dont we have a 2 round burst shotgun.
>>33812823
Yea..
>>33812481
A more reliable and easier to reload weapon system came along.
>>33812916
Liberator dead ended.
Drum fed fully auto must have triggered someone.
>>33812509
Too bad it sucked.
>as heavy as an m249
>not very reliable, early version submitted to military was even worse
>retardedly low cyclic rate even slower than most shooters could shoot a semi auto shotgun
>relatively small mags didn't offer significant improvement over the 1014 or mossy500
>it was insanely expensive even under the proposed military contract
>>33812512
Did it hurt when you pulled that comment out of your ass?

The only one I have ever seen, was sitting in a TOC on a camp in Kabul loaded with beanbag rounds. It was never used, and is probably still sitting there four years later, and has only been moved for POG photo ops.
>>33812872
not burst. only 2 shots. no mag. need i do on?
>but seriously i want russian space magic 12 guage
>>33812481
More importantly, what happened to him?
>>33812481
Shotguns suck ass* for any military role other than breaching a door, and for that it's better just to use an underbarrel shotgun.
*very short effective range, bulky ammo, slow rate of fire with low capacity, little ability to penetrate cover or armor, would require the military to load up on greater quantities of yet another ammo type
>>33812626
It certainly would have been better than a fucking 1887 with a 4 shell tube.

What's that pic about? PPsH chrome-ing? Dropping to partisans?

Good point

The 'fire hedgehog'
88 papashaws pointing angrily out of a bomb bay.

>Ivan has an idea
>Bomb kill fascist
>But Ivan cannot reload bomb

Did this actually have any practical use?
>>33812481
>What happened to the AA-12?
I think you left it on the couch. Check under the cushions.
>>33819529
Its tactical effectiveness found wanting, and it took well over 100 man hours to load one battery for a 4 second volley. Still fucking cool tho
It's trash
