Benelli M3 Tactical.

Just sent in my permit request this week. Hopefully won't take too long.

As for why? I like overengineered and mechanically interesting guns, and I totally lacked a shotgun in my current collection. So I get both a pump and a semi in one. Sure it's a suboptimal choice, but it's just a fun gun.

Currently lurking the fuck outta gunbroker auctions and Armslist to try to get a P938. I need a small carry piece for running/general summer use, and I fell in love with it when I tried it out at a range.

Torn between getting an FDE or Rosewood one. FDE is pretty operator, but the rosewood is aesthetic as fuck.

Right now I'm trying to find a moderately sportered Springfield 1903 to either restore to original condition since I have a stock set, or make a pseudo sniper out of one.

Do you plan on shooting a lot of magnums? If you do, you should consider a different gun.
>>
>>33810587
How are the new Ithaca 37s, anyway? I know the new company has no connection to the old one, but what I've heard makes it seem like they aren't just trying to suck the brand reputation dry either.

>>33810356
How much, and what's its condition?
>>
I'm thinking of either converting my 637 to 9mm or buying another revolver in 9mm instead.
>>
>>33811830
Both of mine are old. It's been a while since I dated the serials, but I believe my 37 Featherlight 20ga is from 1967 and my 37 Featherlight 12ga is from 1974. Both are phenomenal guns. My 20ga has taken so many birds in its day.

The new ones look amazing, but depending on where you are in the US, you can get older 37's for stupid cheap. I find them at Cabela's here in Washington state for around $250 all the time. They are abundant and reliable.

And, as a lefty, bottom eject is masterrace. My dad bought me both of my Ithacas and I still use them regularly. I ended up buying a Browning BPS (also bottom eject masterrace) mainly so I could use 3" shells, if I needed to. The only downside to the older Ithacas are that you are limited to 2 3/3" shells. And, in certain GMUs here in Washington, non-toxic shot is mandatory and I don't know how well I trust the old Ithacas shooting steel.
>>
>>33811876
I'd love to buy an old one, but I simply can't find them in my area. While I could find one online, I prefer to actually inspect what I buy before I put down cash, doubly so if the gun is used and no longer under warranty.
>>
>>33811898
They're built like tanks. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one online; especially if you ask for exact pictures. And, they're so readily available, for so cheap, parts are everywhere.

I've put probably close to 10k shells through my 20 ga, no problem. One FTE and that was due to an issue with the shell itself. Who knows how many went through it in the 40 years before I acquired it.
>>
>>33811898
>>33811930
Oh, and you can slam fire them :)
>>
I just ordered a chronos 1.4 so I'm probably not buying anything new for a year or so.

I mean I'll probably be right back at it next month but that's what I'm telling myself.

Sigs, Glocks, CZs, all round ~$500-600 without the hk tax and there's about a million more guns in that segment that have better triggers, better mags that are less than $50, and a comfy grip without the extra fiddly side bits. Not to mention the 1911 market is super competitive and saturated with great guns here in America that will do the same job for longer and better.

Nice choice but a word of advice, you can't keep these in a safe with the rest of your guns. They need to be kept in a tank of water at ~48°F just like your FN2000s, XM8s, etc. Just sprinkle some bullets in every morning so it can feed. If it jumps out of it's tank and swims away just put a bowl of goulash in your yard and await it with a net. It will be there within the hour.

No need to thank me.

A Ruger Vaquero sounds really fun for the range.

Idk if I'd get one in a .357 or .22lr though

Right now I'm eying up some sort of air rifle and cheap optic/airgun suppressor for remove squirrel.
Probably just a cheap Crosman 2400, but I really want a Dragon Claw since they take regular cast lead bullets.

I raise chickens, so I have a problem with Norwegian Forest Rats getting into the feed. Some of those fuckers were getting huge, and they won't obligingly march into rat traps. So I bought 3 or 4 pellet rifles from Wally World, tested them all, and then took back all of them but one.

Stealth was of paramount importance because, rural-ish home or no, you're not supposed to discharge in this county. The Ruger .22 pellet rifle I tried was a god damn beautiful weapon, but it was every bit as loud as my 22lr, so I had to take it back. Broke my heart.

Ended up having to go with a Nitro Piston model because they're so damn quiet. Kept the Crosman F4 Classic, scope is okay, accuracy is reasonable, it's quiet as hell. If you're looking for a quiet small-game pellet rifle, I recommend it - pic related. It's like $90.

Sweet, thanks anon. For that price I'll jump on one next time I'm in a place that has them.

Got to play around with the P10C at NRAAM.
I want it bad.

the OG Tavor is pretty accurate (sub-1 moa with match ammo) but the X95 is fucking horrendous. 4 moa with M193 and 2 moa with mk262.
It's a real shame because I like the way they handle and feel.

Dakota Tactical makes them, along with an HK 53 Clone in 300blk

Mags are anywhere from 30-100 a piece on hk parts

Somebody stop me. Something like a CX4 would be more reasonable for everything but the 80s SOF aesthetic gets me going every time.

There's one at a local pawn shop that I wanna get, but I have soooo many other higher priorities.
>>

It's been noted in this thread that the auto Ordinance 1911s are underated fuckin great guns. Seriously the exact same design (with modern metal) that took us through about 80 years of conflicts. Some of those guns have something rediculous like 400k rounds through them with like 30 people having learned with and carried them.
>>
>>33824370
Aesthetic af. That's a while to wait tho.
>>
>>33825436

It is, but it'll be worth it. I'd get it sooner, but I don't want my parents getting it for me.

Cool thing is, I got 5 mags for it for $8 a piece at a local store instead of $30 a piece online, so I got that going for me

I want a lever gun that shoots a pistol caliber. Redpill me on the henry vs the marlins

I also kind of want the henry long ranger but I know literally diddly squat about rifle calibers. The only calibers I understand are 5.56/223, and 30-30
>>
>>33825969

.243 is more expensive than .308 and .223, so if you get the Long Ranger unless you specifically want the .243 for some reason go with the more common calibers. Other than recoil I doubt there's a reason to go with .243 over .308.
>>
>>33825713
10/10 I love mine. I'm actually going the other way around and looking for a Vepr rifle.

>>33825969
Get an old (80s or older) or post-2015 Marlin to avoid QC issues. Henry actions aren't as strong and
>a
>fucking
>muzzleloader

The Long Ranger comes in .223, as well as .308, and .243 (necked down .308). They're all common calibers with good, solid ammo choices, although .243 is admittedly a fudd round so if you want buckets of FMJ for plinking go .223 or .308.
>>
>>33825713
are these back on sale?

or are they the "we bought them when they were $800 but here they are again for $1000" versions

only seeing the wooden thumbhole stock versions with the shitty VEPR diagonal cut for the original price now
>>

>or are they the "we bought them when they were $800 but here they are again for $1000" versions
Atlantic is doing that, but then again Atlantic has been buying as many Veprs as they can get their hands on for a long time. K-Var has the basic Vepr-12 for $800 plus shipping/taxes/FFL.

What has better ballistics? What's more fun for plinking? .223 or .308?

>>33826154
Does Marlin even make a .357 levergat post 2015? I can only find new .44mag options
>>
>>33826285

Technically .308 has "better" ballistics, but really you're paying a significant price in money and recoil for abilities you'll probably never use while plinking. .223 is 100% capable of killing paper, watermelons and pop cans at any range you're likely to actually shoot at, you only "need" .308 if you start moving out to like...500 yards or more.
>>
>>33826192
There's still plenty of NIB ones for ~$800 on GunBroker
