I just got my Mak-90 cerakoted cuz the previous owner spraypainted it. Cost 200 bucks, met a range buddy, and it looks a lot better. I also learned that I have a slant cut receiver and was wondering if there's just some sort of black plastic cover/adapter I can slip over the receiver and the stock to make it flush. You can see the gap in the pic.

Also installed the krebs rear sight and like it a lot better than the stock one. Sort of anyway. Anyone got tips on pushing that "spring" down? Wasn't nearly as bad getting the sight out as it is getting it in.

Not as much as my 19. It's like they struggled to get everything in a smaller package. The recoil guide rod is finnicky when reassembling. The front lip of the mags will get caught on the mag release when you're inserting them. Since the recoil spring is stronger you have to put a ton of pressure on the slide catch to drop it, if that's how you like to do it. When you're shooting self defense loads, it stings the palm.

I've been through probably around 1000 rounds with it and had only two hang ups, one was with a Remington hollow point and the other was with PPU NATO FMJ 115gr just the other day.

It just doesn't seem to quite have the harmony that my 19 has. But I have no intention of replacing it.

Obviously, the machining and finish are first class, as with all glocks. I have sweated all over it, been rained on, left it in my car with ridiculous humidity after rainfall. Never bothered to wipe it down, zero rust on any parts.

The OD frame ones will be darker if they're anything like the past OD glocks. They're confusing though because they really don't look very green at all, kind of brown really. But the FDE glocks are distinctively lighter.

I don't really like the army-man green my Glock is in but I like it being different than just the plain jane black pistols you can see anywhere.

Thanks for the write up. I've been carrying a P938 for the last year so I'm no stranger to it being pretty snappy/stings to shoot. I love my 19 too, but I'm built like a hungry skeleton so I have very few options for carry if I don't want to print. I'd continue to carry the 938 but the hammer has been following the slide when I shoot it which is not something I want in a carry gun. I think the gray frame looks really neat but I'll probably end up going for the basic bitch black

Any reviews on this rifle? It looks good and the stock seems great with the cheek riser. I know VEPR make good rifles but dunno who or what is FIME.

I assumed as much. Kinda surprised there are no reviews on this folding rifle. Must be recent since I don't remember any 74 with this type of stock in the last 5 years. IIRC only shotgun AKs had this type of stock and riser but it didn't fold. This thing must be very recent.

>>
>>33814221
Explain why and what the better quality is. The ~$100 difference isn't big.
>>
>>33814221
Id argue that an Arsenal isnt of better quality. Equal but not better. There are advantages to the FIME rifle and some obvious disadvantages. For one, its overbuilt and there are no reports of canted sights or finish problems. Obviously the aftermarket stuff for it is lacking but that's changing.
>>

>>
>>33814249
>>33814244
I kind of made it sound not like I meant to when I posted. I don't mean to say that an Arsenal rifle would be drastically better, but I do mean to say that it would be marginally better in almost every way. Arsenal rifles take regular furniture, aren't nearly as heavy, and are about $100 or so cheaper.
>>
>>33814296
Id argue the finish is probably better on the FIME rifle though man. Arsenal's finish is crap and always has been. Im not saying 100 bucks is worth a better finish but id say it boils down to personal preference. To some the extra weight would be worth a thicker receiver and heavier profile barrier as well as the bulged front trunnion. Arsenal's basic 100 series rifles lack these features...although it's arguable that the merit of these features would ever be appreciated by the average shooter.
Just for the record id rather have an Arsenal as well but I dont agree that they are marginally better because "better" is too subjective in this case

oh wait, the FIME VEPR I posted doesn't take regular furniture? That sucks because i wanted tor replace the hand guards with wooden versions. The weight isn't too much of a factor to me but the fact that it will last a long time for little more money does. Well shit, thanks for the information. I just got that in 20" and 308. It's a destroyer of brass cases on the way out.
It'll be a great rifle, and the stock is comfy, but my opinion is that veprs are too heavy to completely justify it for smaller calibers.

That bullshit about Springfield and RRA is a legitimate reason to be angry and to say fuck you to both of those companies and never give them another penny.
I wouldn't go so far as to tell people to sell guns they already own that were made by either of those companies.

Well, that's fair, because Springfield and RRA already have those people's cash.

I'm married to the most wonderful girl I've ever met, but having a nice girl in your life isn't a cure to sadness or loneliness. Chronic sadness and loneliness is a problem of the heart and mind and isn't remedied simply by being in a relationship contrary to what you grow up thinking, it's something you're either just gonna grow out of and get over one day or live with for the rest of your life

>>
>>33819768
Just saying, but yeah, your idea is better.
>>
>>33819746
Sometimes those "helpful" drugs begin a new slew of problems. Other times they give a new lease on life to some.

That said>>33819495
Do you have friends? Real best friends? This isn't mean as a jab. Do you confide in anyone with out any filter or do you hold all the sadness/emotions in?
>>
>>33819768
Yeah I guess the base question and this goes for all 4chan fucks.

>>33819746
Are you overweight for your age/height class? If so go out side and try to be healthy and watch the changes hopefully happen. I am not a fucking muscular guy but I am lean and in decent shape,
but can always improve.
>>
>>33819768
>>33819810
Telling people to exercise is like telling them to change their diets.
Many times it's FAR easier said than done.

So I keep seeing Dracos going for sale in my area, often with a ton of shit thrown in. What is considered a "decent" price nowadays for just say a rifle with a mag or two? Some of these guys are throwing in like 8 mags, case, braces, etc. etc. and I'm having a hard time figuring out what a fair price is for just the rifle itself so I can figure out if all the shit added in is worth it.

Based on what I can find a mil spec ish one should be worth between $500-$600 base?
>>
>>33819822
Avoiding the question all together. You yourself are you overweight or healthy?

To the individual in question otherwise. Regardless of wether it is easy it produces positive results when done. Happiness is not easy, it if was everyone would be there. 4chan would not exist is happiness was easy...
>>
>>33819880
>You yourself are you overweight or healthy?
I'm 145lbs clothed. I'm fine.
>>
>>33819842
always $500 to $600, regardless of "extras" or "customization" unless they did something permanent, then don't buy it
>>
>>33819898
I was meaning more in the way of extra mags, not shit case, things like that.

Thanks.
>>
>>33819890
Well cheers, I'm 155ish lbs, 6ft but I could use a hell of a lot more out door exposure and exercise.

Being one who understands depression and mood swings and how easy and hard it can be to move out of those moods. It is always easier said than done, faggots will always fail and cease to make progress. I am a faggot at times...I aspire to be better.

Really though not really and yeah bottle it up. I mean I talk with my wife about stuff but not everything because you know she's a woman and there are some things you just only should confide in other men

I don't consider myself skeletal. But definitely at the lower end of BMI charts.
When I was in the chair force, I had to go to doctor appointments after each pt test for a physical because I was always just slightly underweight. I finally learned that I could just ask them if I could skip the blood test part and it wasn't so bad any more.
>>33820015
I could eat better too, but I don't do fast food or soda, or even alcohol very much. Split a mikes hard lemonade with the gf now and again, that's about it. I still like my caffeine to get me through work, but get it in better ways than pop & monster energy drinks etc. Whatever I spend on that stuff is probably made up time and time again by not getting cavities nearly as often.

Brother you have nothing but potential as you recognize and can pinpoint to some degree where your faults lie. I can't tell you how to make your self jump start to fixing them but if you know they are they there I guarantee you can fix them to a degree. If not worst case you stay fucked up...to that note why not exhaust every effort to stop walking the same path.

I am the pot calling the kettle black. Boo hoo Boo hoo me my father died from cancer when I was 27 and I didn't take it well. 3 years on I have issues I need to correct. I am not doing my best to fix them, we are all human and thus fucked in some way.

M72 is cool, but doesn't look like a standard RPK with it's non-clubfoot stock.
So unless you're looking to fill a niche in your Yugo collection, I'd go for the AES10B.

>>
>>33821379
Well that'd be the one I'd go for, but the kits are exceedingly rare nowadays.
We're talking more than $1k for a kit sans barrel.
Not exactly priced for the average joe just wanting an RPK.

What? Ylu can get a barreled m72 kit from akbuilder for 600 something. All that would leave left is the receiver underfolder stock and trunnion.
>>
>>33821427
>Plus the ~$120 receiver
>Plus the $500+ to build it
>Plus ~$200+ to have it blued
I didn't think of that route though.

So you're right, but it's still probably more than most people are willing to go through to just to have an underfolding RPK.

It was dropped to me when I bought pic related. Bulgarian AK74 supposedly built by ex-Arsenal builder Ty Jester. Paid $550 and it looks cerakoted. Got the rifle, a midwest ind rail, a tapco shit mag, and a nice circle 10 bulgy. All matching including the firing pin.
