I don't currently own a sig but I'm considering a P226.

How well do the MecGar 18 rounders and 20 rounders work? I'm not interested if the only reliable, duty ready magazines are 15 rounders.

Swiss police surplus West German P226 manufactured 1988. Bought it a couple of years ago from TopGunSupply. It's a great gun with an amazingly good trigger and handles very well.
The only thing I don't like are the grips I've got on it. They look great, but the fit is a little off and they make it a bit too fat for my hands. I'm going to put either a set of aluminum or G10 grips on it, but I haven't made up my mind which yet.
I will say that the trigger on mine is better than the new Sigs I've handled.

It would probably boggle your little mind that the E2 grip is slimmer than the original grips.

Just picked up a 229 legion. I dig the g10 grips but I'm wondering if the e2 or some hogue grips wouldn't be more /comfy/

If you want extra magazines or grip modules you better try to order them now. Things are always backordered and some of my orders have been canceled by Sig all because they're gearing up to meet the U.S. Army contract shit.

I have 2 P320's and grip modules for them so I'm good. Trying to get more compact magazines but currently backordered.

Can a sigfag explain to me what Exeter's obsession is with making their products as ugly as possible?

Almost every gun they put out has that stupid fucking rail sticking out that completely kills the beautiful lines that the original had. They all look like shit now.

If that weren't bad enough, even the few models that don't have the cheese grater have SIGGG in big obnoxious letters on the top of the slide (the """classic""" carry and the m11-a1) or some tacky engraving on the slide.

Why can't they just make a normal fucking p226? Is it because they don't want the real sigs to depreciate? If I'm willing to pay $800 for a handgun, is it too much to ask that it not be ugly as fuck?
