I can't speak to the cost, but I've had two Springfield 1911's, and I've been happy with them
>milspec used as a base for a project gun
>Operator Champion that was too cheap to pass up
In all fairness, the milspec kind of sucked, but it was never intended to stay stock.

Trp my nigga
>>33779789
I already have a Springfield loaded model I got for $750
>>33779849
This is the exact same as the TRP minus the magwell and ambi safety , I can buy the magwell, I didn't want he ambi safety anyway and this looks better
Does it do anything that actually justifies spending nearly 2.5x as much what any other decent gun on the market can do?
>but muh 1911
Alright, but consider that you can buy an excellent Colt-brand Colt for less than the Brazil-made gun in your OP.
>durr Springfield isn't made in Brazil anymore
They say that, but they refuse to say anything to their customers about from where they source their forgings despite great interest. If they got their forgings from a good American foundry they would be advertising this fact, which means that their forgings are still coming from a less-than-reputable source.
>>33779908
True, but I already have two G19s I'm not looking for a hard use gun
The value comes from aesthetics and how enjoyable it will be to shoot rather than practicality
>>33779920
If it's for aesthetics and range use, get a cheaper 1911.
>>33779920
Alright, but why this Brazilfield for $1400 dollars then? As previously said, you can buy a great Colt or a nice Dan Wesson at that price point.
>>33779977
I like the grey armory kote.
Where can you get a 1911 with similar boner inducing aesthetics with a similar slide to frame fit for the same price
>>33780004
Go look at the Colt Rail Gun. You can buy one for right around $1000.
>>33780051
No front strap checkering, shit sights, shit color, colt union labor gun
