By 1943, German troops were outgunned and out-... experienced. While other countries were deploying things like semi-automatic rifles en masse to their troops, German hardware and equipment was beginning to seriously suffer. Tanks were made from increasingly shitty materials, their late-war designs for aircraft were usually sub-par, their tank designs were progressively shitty, and they were losing most of their hardened veterans on the Eastern Front.

Germans actually weren't the technological wonderworks everyone thinks they were. They had some great ideas, yes, but no where near the facilities to implement most of those. Things like the Stg44 came too late to make a difference, and quantity has a quality all its own.

Also, I don't give a fuck if "hurrr durrr they woulda won if they didnt piss off da whole world!" If you fuck up so bad that you're facing a coalition of something on the order of 70 countries, you fucked up hard in your strategy and you'll pay the price for it. Cod 2 also had british, American and soviet campaigns. You even started the tutorial as a soviet
Cod 3 had four playable protagonists, I think none of them Americans but in any case definitely not mostly americans
Cod 4 had the American protagonist die 4 missions in and you're a brit for most of it
Cod 5 may have been mostly Americans, idk, idc. It had nazi zombies though and it was fun
Cod 6 had one American protagonist die after two missions, and the other had no more than 5. Most of the game is either roach or soup, both brits afaik.

I'd rather go back to a simpler time when soldiers were soldiers. That said, they've already announced that CoD WW2 will tackle racism; to me, that's code for "we'll have competent minorities in the squads (I'm ok with that)."
