German Unit Markings

regiment marks. i can probably decipher them with enough google.

It isn't. The R means Infantry and the E next to it means Ersatz.

that sight slider is worth around $100 if original, does it have a complete bolt?

Yep, it's completely German, might be all matching, haven't checked the serial on the bolt. The bolt is shittily parkerized, but I can fix that.

It is an S conversion, but other than that it's as it was when manufactured in 1891.

Also, the trigger has basically no resistance until right before the break. Anybody know what's wrong? I'm assuming there's a broken spring but I don't know how to dump the action out and take a look.

they come apart pretty easy, two screws in the bottom, the issue should be obvious once you get the magazine off. i probably have the part you need if you can't find it elsewhere.

Well here I am, I don't think I'm getting access to the trigger group without taking the whole thing out of the stock, and I'm not exactly sure I can do that without fucking something up. I'll probably just take it to a gunsmith when I have time, the firing pin still falls all the same.

It's all matching by the way, I checked the bolt, magazine, receiver, and barrel jacket.

I guess sometimes you gotta take a chance on a majorly sketchy gunsamerica seller.

oh, i remembered it being accessible there, guess it's been awhile. you're only two barrel bands away from getting the stock off. probably just has a little broken spring in there.
