"Get out of here, STALKER" is a line from a very /k/ approved slavic video game called STALKER

and rhodesians were badass, they fought against communist guerillas with some of the most effective counter insurgency tactics ever divised, and had a 50:1 kill ratio (for every rhodesian casualty, 50 gooks got slotted). They used horses later into the war but their main mode of transport was pic related, alouette helicopters. Once guerillas were discovered they'd fly them out into the surrounding area, drop of a "stick" of 4 to 5 men (who would then sweep, think of it like a mobile ambush, every soldier scanning the bush for any movement, finger on the trigger of their FN FALs at all times) and then the helicopters would return to the base for a second wave. Meanwhile the commander would circle around in a helicopter armed with a giant 20mm cannon. That is how the rhodie fights.

Best part about this setting, is that /k/ommandos never have too worry about running our of gunpowder ever.

There is a fruit grown in the swamps called "Black Powder Berries" It's one of the few things /k/ommandos are willing to grow themselves and it provides gunpowder when dried and when jellied, fuel for the vehicles and flame throwers.

A renewable source of munitions and fuel for ever.

/k/ and WWII tanks have an odd relationship. You basically have people who love the Panzers despite the most advanced ones being too heavy for most European bridges and breaking down every other day. And people who love the Sherman despite thinner armor and tendency to light on fire. The Sherman was more economical and had pleasing smooth lines but pretty much any German tank was pretty badass in their own right.
Also look up the USS Macon ZRS-5 because the two 1930s flying aircraft carriers are fucking badass.

If I was gonna say off the top of my head you'd have tanks from the three main factions of WWII and their crews constantly arguing about which is the best - so you have the sherman variants, the wheraboos mostly manning Panzer IVH's with the odd Panzer or Tiger, and hordes and hordes of Slavs in T-34s.

I would expect to see shit all kinds of hacked together and cobbled - there are tons of prototype images out there to draw inspiration from, go nuts.

If you want tanks to be rare and special, ask tank general about more one off abominations like this thing.

It's also worth noting that /k/ gets along with /tg/ pretty well, so if you feel like throwing around any Russes or other 40/k/ vehicles - maybe as a joint venture between /k/ommandos and fa/tg/uys - that's be aces.

Yeah if you've got a big guy go for ordinarily crew served weapons. Hell there was a guy in ISIS called 'The Bulldozer' who was massive enough to fire an M2 unsupported, granted he got juiced by an airstrike but eh, details.
Underwater stuff would probably be met with drugged up crazies equipped with bayoneted mosins and other spear like objects. And of course caves... Well we don't talk about those guys.

/out/ actually knows their trade pretty well, so if they play along they'll probably give you the full rundown of everything a civilian needs to survive independently for a pretty good amount of time in all of those environments. Guy above got it, but generally crew served weapons. At that size you're probably looking at light anti-material MGs like the M2, or dedicated anti-material rifles like the PTRS that they would carry for blowing holes straight through trucks and lightly armored vehicles. Your MGs are probably gonna be done up something like this guy, unless they have the russian ones which are constructed with that in mind because the russians are insane. Slap a handguard on this puppy and you're golden. Bonus points for huge fuckoff shotguns like the KS-23, which I will be posting in the next post.

If the /k/ommandos are short on high test weaponry I could see them building enormous crossbows that border on small ballista to give them the punch their stature deserves. Would be a stopgap while they got their serious industry up and running, I think.

They'd also probably make great artillery crew for when you need to punch up, given these guys are so smol, being able to manhandle the lighter towed artillery pieces around easier to track targets in real time if necessary.

>Survival gear

Having a rain suit is important for basically everywhere. If you have layers to put under the rain suit it'll take you right down to a little below freezing before you start having trouble, as long as you keep moving.

Some general stuff I haven't seen mentioned in this glorious thread:

So after a while we started courting /an/, given how much we love our battlebuddies and that for the longest time /k/ also hosted general outdoors and survival threads, and eventually /out/ was born.
It's not always totally prevalent, but /k/ really does love doggos.
We also tend to be naturally anti-authoritarian.

Weapons are sacred. We absolutely loathe "bubba" gunsmiths, who think mounting optics or tacticool shit on old guns; not least of which is because it almost never works or ends well.

If you ever get a chance, go hit up the archive and search by ID: "Ivan Chesnokov" and "Boof"

/k/ has, with pics proven as proofs, used Cosmoline as a culinary ingredient and sexual lubricant. Neither are actually recommended unless you like actual cancer.

We had one tripfag that went the Middle East hot zones in the attempt of bringing back WWII German Stg-44s. He did not survive the expedition.

/out/ will answer the question a lot better than we will, but the short version is that there's some shit that's useful no matter where you go and then a lot of environment specific gear.

In general you want at least three ways of making fire and a knife, and a hatchet if you have the room and capacity. Collapsible means of water storage like water bladders are also good, condoms will do if you're strapped for space but won't last. At least one change of clothing, a small medical kit, and a good sized spool of fishing line. Fishing kit if there are bodies of water in the area. Tons of paracord or other thin, strong rope.

Map and compass for navigation, redundancies there if possible. A collapsible pot to boil water in and iodine tablets or filters or some other means of purifying water when you can't make a fire. If you can manage it, a radio to get you out of the mess/to keep in contact with home base if you aren't stranded.

And then of course the standard more clothes, high density energy rich trail food like GORP or energy bars, something to keep the elements off while you sleep, shoes that fit and socks that aren't garbage, your wits, etc.

Speaking of emblems, we have an active patch community that makes morale patches and sells them in small batches.

We got lumped in with /pol/ for a long time by other boards and crosstalk got pretty bad, to the point that we were discussing politics, albeit mostly firearm politics, more than actual weapons.
