If I had to take a wild guess, it's probably something issued out to inter-war French Syria.

Assuming that it is Syrian, and that the French were arming their colonial holdings with 7.5 at that time.

Inside there's 15 rounds. I think you can make out the head stamps in one of these.

Apparently the Syrian Civil War has gotten so bad that some of the old MAS-36s that Syria put into storage when they got their AK's have been dragged out and put back into service. Pic related.

I believe they are all berdan primed. There really isn't anything wrong with shooting them. The Syrian ammo just tends to have a lot of duds and hangfires.
