I should clarify
Sig makes some decent guns, but only the ones that were designed at least in part BY Sig USA. Their rifles that are based on the ar-15, the 516, 517, mcx, are actually pretty good. The P320 is somehow leaps and bounds better than any other US made P-series and it really makes no sense.

The Pico and Nano has them very closely bordering mid.

The 92 series is just as good as the SIG P220 series though, with better QC and a cheaper price tag, and the new APX is pretty good.

I don't think it's a meme. They're genuinely good pistols, they just came along a little late and have been overshadowed by the striker-fired competition. FWIW the PX4 is one of LifeSizePotato's favourite guns. Despite all the whacky expensive high-end shit that guy has, he still loves the PX4. I'm not a DA/SA guy and even I really like the thing.
