If so any sniper can have plenty of ammo by carrying one single ammo belt, no?

Yes, it's the same round. However the shooter would have to delink the ammo and then load it into a mag, before being able to fire it.
>>
>>33744712
1. Belts are kept in cans, not worn rambo style.

2. They're heavy as fuck

3. You would save space with loose rounds

4. Good luck delinking them

5. Yes they can fire the same ammo but "snipers" dont use m2 ball, HTI teams might though.

Yes, it can, however snipers don't haul around M82s because they're fuckhuge, heavy, the ammo is heavy, and .50BMG is rather costly.

Now please either lurk moar or show yourself out.

>.50BMG is rather costly.
But they fire it full auto from those brownings. It can't be that expensive.
>>
>>33744712
Yes, but a 2 moa gun will become a 5 moa gun.

> Think of the m82 like the nugget, if you feed it right, it'll be fairly accurate, you feed it garbage, it gives you garbage.
>>
>>33744836
There's non-garbage 54r?
I didn't know that.
>>
>>33744847
>can't tell if kidding or not over internet.

There are a number of decent 54r floating around, granted it's harder to find now a days. I've seen Sellier & Bellot shoot pretty well.
>>
>>33744915
I dunno man, I've only ever owned american and european guns, no slavshit so I'm completely clueless about x39 and x54r. I thought it was almost all corrosive surplus.
>>
>>33744939
Don't get me wrong, it's pretty low in performance across the board, and most of what you will find is trash and or corrosive surplus. It's a fun cartridge to tinker with however.

If you'd ever want to play with it, but still only have Euro/American guns, Remington made a few 1891's for a while.
>>
>>33744804
Look up what you can bulk buy per round. Multiply cost by 1.5 to 3 for taxpayer cost re military use. We go through a lot of the budget with ammo use
>>

Not accurately, no
