Because you suck and we hate you confirmed? Chrissake, why is it so hard to just take THIS shit over here, and make it semi-auto?

All we ever goddamn wanted was a regular-ass semi-auto MP5, but this is what we get because we suck and they hate us.

What are you thoughts on this?
>>

H&K was the only company to fight the 1989 import ban.

and you notice Trump hasn't done shit for guns yet, besides Gorsuch.

Trump could EO away all of the import bullshit that isn't a russian sanction or a law. Just tell his ATF director that all guns are sporting purpose the way they are and don't need american parts or be classified as destructive devices.
>>
>>33742945
Trump has more pressing issues than guns, as does the rest of congress, desu. Sadly, guns aren't exactly a priority.

the mp5 would be classified as a non sporting rifle.

the sp5k (which you're about 2 years behind the curve on that) is a pistol

Retard, then how does every other manufacturer able to provide non sporting rifles to the U.S market.
>>
>>33743542
Several ways
>100% american made
No changes needed
>Imported as sporter
SCAR rifles and many AK variants come in the country as thumbhole stock sporters with single stack magwells. Once stateside they are modified to non shit config and 922r is applied
>imported as parts kit
AK kits are commonly imported and assembled stateside. They have to meet 922r compliance.

>>

And all of the welds are done by hand and all of the alignment is key.

Building a functional MP5 in germany with german labor/taxes, then importing it, replacing major parts with domestically made parts and then selling them would result in an expensive product no matter what is being produced. The FN Scar costs $3000ish domestically and benefits from being minimal manual labor to build/convert

>>
>>33742952
You think he, or any politician, actually reads most of the stuff they endorse?

They don't.

They are managers. For everything that isn't of actual personal importance to them, they pass that work to their staff, who delegate it to internal policy staff, to advisors, to external consultants or experts, or to researchers.

It would be impossible for the average politician to have simply personally read through even half of every piece of text, bill, correspondence, policy, etc. let alone understand it all, let alone then developed a position on it.

In the context of this though, the only reason nothing has happened, is because he hasn't bothered to appoint anyone to handle it when he could've and has the resources to. It's not really a matter of time or attention, it's a management issue.

Boi, I can tell you right now, with HK doing military production for Germany, the US, the UK and many other countries

They're not fucking welding ANYTHING by fucking hand.

Robot welders cost pennies on the dollar with the consistency of welds they get, the speed they can weld, the fact that they have less down time than a couple of welders together and the fact that you end up saving money two fucking weeks into production having the machine already paid itself off.

>>33745019
And chances are, with the SCAR being an Aluminum extruded upper, CNC machined, injection molded piece of Stoner AR18, chances are, it is 800$ to manufacture.

They do not cost 2200$ to fucking import either, when a simple pos injection molded stock costs you fucking 5 dollars in plastic.
>>
>>33742878

Anybody that makes an MP5 style gun is either building parts kits which are expensive as fuck or like the turk, Paki and PTRs they bought some tooling. PTR doesn't have the tooling for the MP5 or the HK33. To build those the could get the specs but without the machines there's no good way to build those parts that are cost effective. Especially with the barrels, bolt, buffers and rollers. Making a 45 would be worse because they can't just copy/paste.

They know of the demand for the MP5 and HK33 but making either is a gamble. What's the last time you saw mags for either. The PTR32 didn't even do that we'll and unless they go with the AR mag well G41...people would still bitch because it doesn't look right

Motherfucker, what fucking R&D?

It's a fucking carbon fucking copy of the AR18 and has been in fucking production for more than a fucking DECADE. And in many ways, is greatly cheapened in design from the fact that it fucking uses a metric fuckton of injection molded plastic, the dies of which NEVER go out of spec, as in as long as you clean them, they last FOREVER.

An 800 dollar price tag also accounts for the fact that everything is CNC machined and checked by a computer in FN wants to actually meet DOD production specifications they usually have.

I doubt that.
Also I fail to see the relevance.

>Also I fail to see the relevance.

Just illustrating that yes, indeed, some places outside of the US has better laws for this shit than the US.

Here, $100 silencer

>Pro Gun Democrat
Every Pro Gun Democrat has had pressure applied to bend their stance.
See Harry Reid, Joe Manchin, Kirsten Gillibrand.
TLDR a certain point will come where the party line must be towed.
Your probably better off running as an anti-gun republican
>>
civie hk433 when?
basically a proper metal scar

This, it's gotten numerous hand-out contracts and is in constant financial trouble, NATO has to keep propping it up because it's critical but it's past time they moved most manufacturing to HK USA.

For a company with such a good product it's baffling, almost like they hate money
>>
>>33753210
Turks have no export qualms on their end other than bare minimum NATO compliance. Germany OTOH has butt loads of arms control red tape that would honestly be better served by just moving to the US.

Problem here is ITAR exists
>>
>>33758112
>HK-USA

literally turning a quality product into shit.
theres not a single gun company that have moved production to the us, and has kept their quality.
its not even production, your importers always manages to make guns worse somehow.
>sig usa
>fn usa
>sphinx
>cz-usa
>EAA
>PPKs
and us made
>aks
>hk91s

the market in the us is geared towards cheap guns that are seldom used. thats not good.

You're goddamn right he does. Implementing Israel's foreign policy objectives of neutralizing Iran is a top priority for this administration.

What you and everyone else needs to understand about HK is ... at the moment the consumer is not their bread and butter. Their priority has been filling large government contracts. If you don't want to pay or don't want to wait. Don't. No one is holding an HK to your head.

ATF fuckery, most likely. Look at how they're fucking with FB Radom.

This desu.

I hate how american gun companies cant survive without being coddled and getting handicaps in their favor
>>
I'm commenting on this because I actually have an MP5, that came in an H&K box. Yeah, lately they've been cucking everyone here stateside. But no mine I believe was a replica since you can't actually get the real thing, but it uses the same parts that are in the MP5. So technically it is an MP5. I just wish they sold full auto.

They're all fine. My biggest beef with any of them is that EAA insists on rebranding Tanfoglios as EAA Witness, they're good guns otherwise.

Of your list, SIG USA is the only real offender.

>>33758566
He's referring to PTR-91s. Most likely Century-made ones, and we all know everything Century touches turns to shit. Other domestic PTR-91s are fine.

I frankly dgaf about clones and whomever makes/imports them.

And I unashamedly throw my money at the real deal.

>Israel
IWI has a plant in the US "making" tavors or some shit. IDK if they are actually making them or putting together israeli parts that aren't actually a firearm with some 922r stuff to make it kosher. What ever they are doing, the rifles aren't shipping as rifles from israel and showing up here.
>Romania
Those come in a single stacks and century mills the mag wells out and puts US parts in them
>CZ
idk how they are bringing evo rifles and bren's in with the import shit.

it would take him all of a day to EO away the import ban and 7n6 ban.

hire more ATF people to process forms to reduce NFA prison wait times.
>>
>>33760888
>giving ATF more power
No, the best part of the situation we're in right now is that we're swamping the ATF so hard they're considering removing silencers from the NFA to lighten the workload.
>>
>>33758656
EAA doesnt import small frame tanfos, (9mm and 38) because muh logistics. and in turn you loose reliability, and they can malfunction with certain ammo.

Sphinx has absolutely tanked from what they were, I've shot and used both a swiss made sphinx 3000 and the sphinx sdp. it went from being the best cz clone to being no better than the cz shadow.

CZ usa are starting to make some shit on their own now, "custom" guns, which is just mismatching the guns and overpricing them.

I can agree that FN isnt really that bad, they started new series of weapons geared towards the us marked instead of fucking up existing products
>>
>>33760888
>EO away the import ban and 7n6 ban.
literally the reason these exist are greedy as fuck domestic industry.
trump would literally jeopardize thousands of jobs with foreign competition.
Trumps an isolationist, at least he pretended to be.

trips so who knows, would be awesome to get rid of the ITAR and 922r assault weapons ban, chink gun ban and kalash ban
