Very cool roll! I got lucky.

>Just days before Germany's surrender, U-853 torpedoed and sank the collier Black Point during the Battle of Point Judith. American warships quickly found U-853 and sank her 7 nmi (13 km; 8.1 mi) east of Block Island, Rhode Island, resulting in the loss of her entire crew.

>On 5 May 1945, President (Reichspräsident) of Nazi Germany Karl Dönitz ordered all U-boats to cease offensive operations and return to their bases. U-853 was lying in wait off Point Judith, Rhode Island at the time. According to the US Coast Guard, U-853 did not receive that order, or less likely, ignored it.[14]

U-515
21 commercial ships sunk (131,769 GRT)
two auxiliary warships sunk (19,277 GRT)
one commercial ship damaged (6,034 GRT)
one warship damaged (1,920 GRT)
one commercial ship a total loss (4,668 GRT)
one warship a total loss (1,350 GRT)

On 9 April U-515 was attacked north of Madeira by the destroyers USS Pope, Pillsbury, Chatelain and Flaherty. Flooding and loss of depth control forced the U-Boat to the surface, where she was sunk by rockets fired from Grumman Avenger and Grumman Wildcat aircraft and gunfire from the destroyers.

Sixteen of U-515's crew were killed, but 44 survived the attack. The survivors were picked up by the destroyers and later transferred to the aircraft carrier USS Guadalcanal U-515's commander, Werner Henke, was among the survivors. Later in June 1944, he was shot and killed trying to escape a secret interrogation center known as P. O. Box 1142 in Fort Hunt, Virginia, while being held as a prisoner of war.

German submarine U-756 was a Type VIIC U-boat built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine for service during World War II. Laid down as yard number 139 at the Kriegsmarinewerft (KMW) in Wilhelmshaven, she served with 6th U-boat flotilla from 30 December 1941 to 1 September 1942 under the command of Kapitänleutnant Klaus Harney.[1] U-756 did not survive to complete her first patrol and did not sink or damage any ships.

Eighteen days into her first patrol,[3] on 1 September 1942 U-756 was in position 58°08′N 27°33′W in the mid North-Atlantic[4] when she was attacked by the Canadian corvette HMCS Morden. Heavily damaged, the vessel went down with all 43 aboard

The boat began her career by training with the 5th U-boat Flotilla from March to December 1939. She was declared operational on 1 January 1940 with the 1st flotilla. She was assigned to the 22nd flotilla on 1 January 1941, then the 19th flotilla on 1 July 1944. The last two assignments were as a "school" boat.[3]

She carried out 13 patrols in which she sank 17 merchant ships, two auxiliary warships, and damaged a tanker. A further victim was declared a "total loss".[3]

She was scuttled in the Kiel Arsenal at the end of the war. The wreck was broken up in 1945.

ORP Orzeł (eagle) was a Polish navy submarine in the WW2. Built by the Brits it was state of the art weapon by 1939. Zergrushed by Germans in the Baltic sea it managed to stay under their radar and get to Talinn (Estonia), as the captain thought that Estonia was neutral. Estonians, however interned the whole crew and started to de-arm the vessel. Halfway through the disarmament the Polish crew decided to escape the port. Under the cover of night Poles managed to cut off electricity in the base, disarm guards and make their way to the submarine. At the time of their arrival to the sub it had no torpedos and deck armament, missing maps etc. Poles went on with their escape plan and managed to make it to Britain by using lighthouses on the way and their knowledge of the Baltic sea as the reference. ORP Orzeł disappeared from the radar in 1942 when performing a patrol. Nobody found it yet.

She was laid down at Vulkan-Vegesackerwerft in Bremen on 2 October 1940 as yard number 15, launched on 5 July 1941 and commissioned on 30 August with Kapitänleutnant Heinrich Zimmermann in command.

Her service career began with the commencement of crew training with the 6th U-boat Flotilla on her commissioning date. She became operational on 1 January 1942, also with the 6th flotilla.

She sank five ships, with a total of 23,649 gross register tons (GRT) and two warships totalling 1,850 tons. She also damaged one ship of 8,955 GRT.

Fate: On 11 July, she was sunk with all hands (45 men), by depth charges from the Free French destroyer Léopard, the British frigate HMS Spey and the British sloop HMS Pelican west of Madeira.

The boat departed Kiel on 10 April 1943, moved through the North Sea, negotiated the 'gap' between Iceland and the Faroe Islands and entered the Atlantic Ocean.

She was sunk on 16 January 1944 northwest of the Azores by American aircraft from the escort carrier USS Guadalcanal using rockets and depth charges.

1 patrol, one 7039GRT ship damaged, then promptly clusterfucked by two destroyers, one frigate and one corvette shitting depth charges all over the place.
