Is this knife /k/ approved?
If not, any suggestions?
>>33742137
No. It's mallninja bullshit.
>any suggestions?
Yes. Dad's has lasted for forty years and done everything from remove splinters to dress deer.

Get the Spartan Knives version. Better quality and it's got less obnoxious writing on it.
>>33742137
For what purpose do you need a new knife?
>>33742184
The folder that I have is a good EDC, but sucks cock for defense
>>33742209
A Buck lockback will punch through a man's ribcage as well as anything else. You do not need a Sykes-Fairbaine commando knife to defend yourself.
Anyone else believe knives are more dangerous than guns
>>33742209
Get a gun and a leatherman multi tool
>>33742291
True, but as a matter of principal, I trust fixed blades more than folders
>>33742302
No. Cause you can't ND a knife, kill the person in the next room/house.
You also have to be up close to use said knife
>>33742209
>>33742184 Here. I personally carry a Spyderco Military as my defensive blade. If you can carry a fixed blade, check out the knives from TOPS. Last thing I'll say is that you probably don't want to use your defensive blade as your utility blade. You want that edge to be as sharp as possible for when you need it. I use my Leatherman as my utility knife and keep the Military sharp for protective duties.

Is there a reason to use a blade over a 4 cell maglite?
>>33742444
How much does a 4 cell flashlight weigh compared to a knife? You can beat someone with a maglite but not if you don't have it on you.
>>33742480
>strapping a maglite to your belt to easily beat and blind your enemies.
>using a knife as edgy as you are so you can look cool in front of a jury in case you don't bleed to death.
Pick one
>>33742209
>using a knife over a gun for self defense

I never said to not carry a flashlight. The light part is much more important than hitting people with it. OP asked for a knife, not a flashlight. I carry a 850 lumen light. Blinding light is a much more important tool than a foot long bludgeoning device. My EDC light is 6 inches long and weighs 5 ounces. Having the things on your person is much more important than leaving them at home or in the car, which tends to happen with D cell flashlights.

>Is this knife /k/ approved?
No. In fact it's not approved by anyone anywhere. Even the guy on 60 cents a day in the Chinese factory that makes it does not approve of it.
>If not, any suggestions?
You have failed the test and are unfit to own a knife. You may own a large safety sponge instead.

Best friend is in group and he uses this exact knife on deployment. Don't ever post again.
