This place doesn't take itself too seriously and the anonymity allows the more eccentric gun enthusiasts such as myself to post here. /k/ is really the only gun related place for discussion where mallninjas, tryhards, fudds, and other blights of the weapons community are truly shunned, laughed at and not enabled as profusely and when they do show up we can laugh at them making asses of themselves.

I don't actually know that much about /k/ topics as some people here due to being a noguns.

I like that I can actually have a better discussion about media I like here than on /tv/ or /v/ because military/ shooter/ scifi genres are fairly well liked. Like, seriously. Some of the best discussions I've had about scifi and the clone wars (without attachment to the films) have come from /k/.
