Well, personally, I only lust for the Sig 551 SB. It's one of my favorite guns.

The Vz58V was just too cheap to pass up at the time, but it never leaves the safe. (325 euros with 4 mags, mag pouch, bayonet, sling,... but that's without all the fab def trash I threw on it.)

I don't like it. Needs to be run hard to feed properly from the plastic mags. Stock is rather flimsy and damages easily. There's already slight wear on the receiver from the bolt handle touching it.

Overall, wouldn't recommend.

I'd suggest looking at Savage for cheap .22LRs. Or if you've got money to spare, a Sako Quad.

And if you don't mind second hand, there's a lot of cheap Anschutz & Feinwerkbau floating around if you take the time to look around.

Sold Sig Tacops 1911 to angood friend of mine so he can ditch his Taurus.

DDM4A1 has different furniture on now. Stock worked just fine, didn't like the looks. Grip felt extra gummy when shooting with gloves.

I love it, but I have a bullpup fetish so grain of salt. You'd be a fool to turn down 900 as they usually go for about 1200+ used. Accuracy is ~2-3moa, never had any failures with mine, never cleaned mine either. Gas system is allegedly finicky with how precise it is but I never adjusted mine and it cycled fine out of box.

No, the CZ455 is not a real improvement, it's just cheaper to manufacture from what I hear.

Doesn't feed easily, needs to be run hard to feed properly from the plastic mags (but maybe the metal ones are better).
Stock is easy to damage (dent & scratch).
The bolt has causes receiver wear from cycling. That's just bad design.

Either way, I obviously have better bolt guns.

I get more joy showing off my guns than shooting them overall because of /k/. I can only shoot so much, but I can post neat pics and discuss stuff any time for free. Even most cell phones can do a pretty decent close-up picture if it's relatively new, and the lighting is good.
Also, a good pic is the difference between people drooling over your stuff or not often times.
I think we can all admit that we spend way less time viewing pictures that are blurred vs crisp ones people post.

I actually just got that shotgun a weekend or so ago. Apparently it was granddads when he was a kid in MN. As soon as I get any money at all, I'm going to find a new fore end on it and refinish the stock to match (it's been refinished already once before).

I still want an SP01 to replace the XD as a bedside pistol, and some form of scoped centerfire and a mag fed 5.56. Anything after that is just for fun and not to fill a hole in my collection.

Metro was good, that's the only one I've read from the series though. I'll be honest, there were a couple parts I felt I had to grind through and I struggled with the phonetic Russian settlement names, it really stopped my momentum, but the story that's told is really good.

The books are really good, though they only loosely share a storyline with the games. 2034 isn't necessarily a sequel to 2033, since it follows different characters than Artyom, and 2035 (which I haven't read yet) picks up where Last Light ended and is a true sequel.
