The only range I have access to is a 25 meter range allowing handgun calibers. They allow both short and long guns though. Would it be a waste of time taking a .357 or .44 Mag rifle or carbine to such a short range?

if you already had the gun and nothing better to do yeah go shoot. you could have fun at 25. if you were going to purchase a rifle specifically to go shoot at this 25 yard range ehhh. just spend an hour or more driving somewhere else.

What this guy said. If it's already lying around, it's pistol caliber so why not?
Otherwise, if you really wanna buy a new one, I unironically love my HiPoint 995

>just spend an hour or more driving somewhere else.

Should I be able to put all five in the same hole at 25 meters with that, or what?

thats what she said
but really, if you practice (which is the point), yeah. It'll make you a good shot. Also those guns are phenomenal for the price.
Git smaller targits then git gud.

Yeah, this. Just shoot scaled targets.
Shooting for speed rather than bullseye accuracy is fun at short distance too.

Should I stick with .22lr or are the magnum carbines good for anything?
