Looking to get a nice smg to pair with my M1a EBR. I would prefer something a little smaller and more portable/mobile but I'm open to whatever.
Any suggestions?
Depends what game.

Alright lemme rephrase:
I only just started making money and my first real buy was the M1a and now I feel like having a nice smg as a compliment, so I come asking for opinions.
>>33736440
I was considering them as well as an ump or mpx.
Should I go small or larger caliber?

An actual smg or a pistol cal carbine? Because for actual smgs, you just take whats available. There are a couple of Mac10s one GB right now at $7K+.

I would prefer an actual smg but like I said, I'm up for whatever's best.
Know of any good pre-1986 smgs? My state allows full autos as longs as they are NFA a-ok.

Sorry, your insistence on using the the wrong terminology for a firearm you 'purchased' threw me off. I thought you were either retarded or baiting. It's clear now that you're a Cowadooty transplant and obviously a responsible and knowledgeable gun owner.

so, you mean transferable pre-68 guns?
I would go with pic related
MP5 clones are super fun.
Check out B&T. Good kit.

>APC9 is over two grand
fucking how? how do these companies get away with these retardedly high MSRPs when you can get an evo for 600 bucks?

The effort in building an APC9 is about the same as in building a SCAR or the new BREN.
Extruded alu upper, polymer lower.
It's all just market research & accounting really. A company has to calculate what the R&D & production will cost them. Then calculate what the profit they aim for. Then they calculate if they want to sell a lot of units at a lower price with a low profit margin, or a few units at a higher price point with a large profit margin. In general, unless you're trying to specifically cut out the competition, you go for option 2 since it's less hassle. You just charge as much as the market is willing to spend, while keeping production low-ish.
B&T has the reputation of being insanely good at what they do, so they get away with it.
That 2k price also includes an Aimpoint Micro btw.

This. I love my vector, and want an Evo.

Mine is in 10mm which is neat. But 10mm is expensive for what it is, if I could do it again I'd go for 9mm.

You could get a MAT-49, it predates the NFA by a fair margin, is foldable, cheap and usually decently available.
You can wear it loaded on a thigh holster without problems.
It isn't the most tacticool gun in the world, but as smgs go it's alright. And it was made to shoot overpressure rounds.

That's Frankfurt, when I go through there as of late I always have to stop and gawk at the MP5s. My gunfu and all the fuzz at German airports have them.
