To the point where she makes me leave it at home for her and I have to carry something else. I'm going to buy another because it is a super comfy fullsize carry.

So, how do you guys feel about grand power? Just traded something off for a P11 and it seems like a neat little piece, if it's reliable it'll probably even end up in my carry rotation.

How do you like your PCR? I'm wanting to buy one whenever someone locally gets one in stock, but I'm unsure how well I could cc a doublestack in AZ. I'm not skelly mode or fat or anything if that helps.

I only have shotguns for the most part and a .22 so it'd be my first handgun.
>>
>>33744021
I have it as my carry piece, love it.

Size wise it's very comparable to a Glock 19, and I prefer DA/SA. CZs also just fit my hand better and are more accurate for me.

Okay thanks. Can you pretty easily conceal it while wearing only one layer though? Summer's coming and there's no way I'm wearing anything more than one light layer here in Phoenix lol.
>>
>>33744491
Everyone's body type and clothing is different. I can AIWB carry it under a looser fitting shirt without much hassle, or even IWB back on the hip, but you can't wear tight shirts and make it work obviously. My most common setup would be like a light under-shirt and an un-tucked button up shirt over it that has a bit of room to it.
>>
>>33744608
Okay, I might just pick this up soon if i can and get something smaller for next summer if it doesn't work out.

Thanks for the info

I see the way CZ sells the RAMIs is either standard sights and safety or a model with decocker and tritium sights.

I just want the tritium sights, no decocker. Is it easy to swap the decocker for a safety?
>>
>>33745384
>Is it easy to swap the decocker for a safety?
The omega trigger can swap between safety and decocker.
The standard trigger is either safety or decocker. Cant swap.
Why do you want a safety? I believe all DA/SA guns should be decocker only.
Safetys only belong on SAO.
>>
>>33745384
Just buy the tritium sights
>>
>>33745424
If it were a decocker/safety, I'd be okay with it. But after years of using lever guns and single action revolvers, I trust myself not to slip, whereas I don't trust a gun that's without a safety not to get snagged on something.

That's why my double action revolvers are a fun range toy and nothing more. Just a personal preference, really.

The gun shop said CZ were raising their prices as well.
I bought mine for $1520 ausbucks, which is apparently below wholesale at the new prices.
>>
>>33746956
unlikely

CZ prices have been rather steady

maybe it's an excuse they gave you for the lacking stocking capabilities

CZ apparently makes 2000-3000 Shadow 2s for worldwide sales
which is ridiculous considering the preorders

in total CZ made about 250k guns in 2016, 275k in 2017 and they plan for 300k in 2018

same thing with the P10s, the rep told me they had about 35k preorders from the US and he already knew he can only make 17k this year
which means the 2017 preoders are gonna be delayed until summer of 2018 at least

shit's fucked yo

Legion fails, MK25 fails, P320 fails... These MAC guys will be fighting sig fanboys for awhile.

It really is interesting to see shit fail after being dropped in mud. Like for fucks sake, THE Navy Seal handgun and the newly adopted Army pistol of choice being beaten by a no name machining company who decided they were tired of making other brands handguns...

>>
>>33747413
Unfortunately P-01s are hard to find right now (at least in my area) heard another month or so before restocks finally arrive.

But really it just depends, I dont mind glocks but I think CZs are much more comfortable to hold and shoot. You cant go wrong either way, just what you prefer.
>>
>>33747458
If I tried out just a standard CZ-75, would that be basically what a P-01 would be like? That way I can get a good idea if I can't actually find a P-01 immediately.
>>
>>33747444
Not work done by them, But I have a punch of parts on the way for my PCR that I plan to install myself. Goal its to reduce the trigger reach in DA, shorten the reset in SA, and make the trigger pull overall a bit lighter as well.

I've orders stuff from CGW before and they are definitely GTG.
>>
>>33747496

The P-01 is a compact sized frame, the grip is a bit shorter than the standard CZ75 (14rd mags vs. 16rd in the full size), and of course the barrel and slide are shorter and it has the acc. rail.

Also, the frame is aluminum so it's a bit lighter and it has a more up-swept beavertail compared to a regular 75. The basic feel and grip angles are comparable though.

A CZ ismost likely going to feel much better in the hands because of it's aggressive contour in the grip.
The P-01 will probably be a bit more expensive today, not to mention harder to find.

While I am not saying the glock is bad, but the glock 19 is literally everywhere and the price has been steady for a good while now.

The original CZ-75 was the short rail, the second generation CZ was the "long rail", or what people call the "pre-b" today.

The reason Rally shits on the pre-b is because early production of the second generation CZ-75 pistols were manufactured under contract by a Spanish firm, who produced very bad quality cast frames that had a lot of issues.

This problem was fixed later down the road when CZ started casting their own frames in-house,

Yes, I had my P01 redone by them.

IMO unless you have an Omega or SAO trigger they can't do much to it other than change 2 springs, and totally isn't worth the money. Their work on SAO triggers is top notch, but then again those are simple and pretty much every competent smith on the planet could do a good job on them. I've not gotten a chance to shoot a CGW'd Omega trigger.
