These are mine; pretty good.
The mosin by far is my favourite one.

brought this SVT40 back to life. It was rusted shut, missing parts, etc.
Had to use a rubber mallot to beat every metal part out of it. I was very nervous about getting the trigger group out of the stock but finally got it out. Took over two days of beating and oiling to try and loosen everything up.
Took everything oiled it, scrubbed with steel wool, etc.
There's some dark rust still there of course, but I keep it well oiled to prevent the spread, and now she shoots great! Paid $300 at an auction and put about $75 worth of parts in it. I'm amazed at how shitty the metal was but how beautiful the stock is.
There are no import marks and it is unrefurbished (stock still has cartouche)

I spent many many hours scrubbing it, and removed most the the rust, made it run smooth again, but the metal has suffered because the rust has actually dug in at many places so I just got what I could off and to where it can function again.
Shoots like a dream, haven't had a jam yet.

My bad, I just looked again and saw the year picture. Nice find!
Praise be to the Nugget, to the Nugget be the praise.
So I just bought my first rifle, and it's a nugget, anything I should know off hand, and or any recommended manuals? So far it seems to be in good condition, bolts a little sticky, but is there anything I should look for before I take it out to fire?

How did it manage to get MORE popular after its initial debut??
Am I the only one who thinks Mosins look nicer than Mausers?
