"defense" in the case of guerrilla warfare means hiding behind a wall of civilians. shoot too many civilians, and you lose the war. That lends the advantage to the defender

Well the problem is not take the biggest cruiser missile to defeat it. The question is how many high explosives buses such mostrosity would resist from artillery at a descent speed. And most important the damn cost that such a beast would take to be militaraly viable.

it wouldn't take a whole lot of armor to defend against a nuke. we have plenty of bases that are designed to take direct hits from nukes, and they don't have to much armor on their doors to be unwieldy on a large tank
