How good is it really and where is it being used in the Russian military? Assuming it is. If not then fair enough.
Duty leader at Yanov station normally sells one for about 35k

Interesting.

The original AK-12 was pretty neat, the newest AK-12 is just a modified AK. It is not in service but they have a few for field trials along with the new AK-74M(same name but based off the AK-400).
>pic related, current AK-12
how would anybody know ?

>dressed up new AK-74M
AK-107 is better.

Yeah the early ones were fucking awesome, those fire selectors, that mag kicking with your index finger, bolt being open on the last round, being able to close bolt with one finger
Top stuff, but always money and reality changed things. Rusisa is just too poor to aford anything cool. In 200 years they will still be using ak74 reskin
It will wind up like every other post-AK74 assault rifle they make, and only get issued to a handful of special snowflake units while the bulk of the Army continues to use AK-74s.

I messed up earlier the new AK-74M (seen here >>33729257) based off the AK-400 is called the KM-AK.
They are currently testing the A-545, AK-12, and KM-AK, but realistically since they're still pretty poor they're probably going to update their line to produce the KM-AK or something similar/cheaper.

The bulk of the army still uses AK-74Ms because nothing came out of the Abakan trials, they bought a few and "adopted" them for field trials and once those were done they essentially retired them. With a tight budget they have better things to spend on than almost irrelevant small arms. With the large modernization program that started in 08, something is bound to change this time.
Also your statement is pretty general considering you could say that about the US, nothing came out the OICW Increment One trials either.

Im wondering why nobody mentioned it before but...
AK-12 is already outdated. The next-gen AK will be the AK Alpha from Izhmash

>Kalashnikov Israel/Kalashnikov USA
good one

It's like someone took the cheapest mall ninja AR shit they could find and melted it on a stove until it fit an AK.
