If they're powering this with J85s, it'll have enough thrust. Those wings are horrid for high speed flight and stealth, but they have a decent looking airfoil and the thing overall is going to be pretty light thanks to it not having any mission systems other than a small drone's EO turret. The intakes are terrible for pulling any serious alpha, but we're talking about doing circuits, not air combat manoeuvres.

Cz I'm the fucking king of engineers and I can tell from a picture or a video if it's made of plastic or is a real plane.

And what is wrong with a modernized F5? It's a small, nimble fighter that requires FAAAR less maitenance then an F15, not even bothering to compare it to an F22 or Fail-35. And it can land on fucking dirt roads.

What's a modernised F-5 going to do? If you want an attack plane, go for something more along the lines of a Su-25, A-29 or F-16; if you want something to fight other aircraft, an F-5 ain't gonna cut it in the 21st century.

I really, really want a Tomcat to be restored to flying condition in the US through some miracle, or to have the US acquire an Iranian 'Cat unscathed.

The fact that There are 100% scale flying replicas of Spitfires nowadays give me hope that someone will one day make a Tomcat replica once the technology somehow becomes commonplace. Because that's the only way I'll ever get to fly one.
